Very entertaining exchange between Mike Huckabee and Ann Coulter over the weekend -- one beginning with Huck slamming Mitt Romney, and ending with Coulter's early 2012 endorsement.
HUCKABEE: I do appreciate that you're pro-life, because you've been consistent on that, except for one thing: during the [2008] campaign, you called me a "liberal", but you supported Mitt Romney whose health care bill is the blueprint of ObamaCare and provides for abortions for $50.
So is that conservative?
COULTER: Well, technically, I supported Duncan Hunter until it basically came down to McCain...
HUCKABEE: [interrupting] ... And I'm such a liberal Duncan Hunter supported me after he dropped out of the race.
[later]
COULTER: Look, that was Romney versus...
HUCKABEE: [interrupting]... Huckabee.
COULTER: It was McCain, Romney, you. Romney was liberal in the Soviet Union. I don't want to bother defending Romney now, because my candidate in 2012 is Chris Christie and he is pro-life.

Well, I want me.
Until I get trashed in the MSM, then I won’t want me either.
Long live the Republican king-makers, the MSM!
Not Christie, especially because of immigration
I want a pony.
Ann Coulter is good at satire, but I don’t go by what she says on candidates.
Still too early, but Christie looks like the most sensible front-runner. He needs to slim down a little to appeal to the more superficial voters, but otherwise looks like a winner.
Problem is Christie is not “conservative”. He’s the best we could do in this liberal wasteland, also known as New Jersey.
He dosen’t consider the immigration laws as a deportable offense...more like a traffic ticket offense.
He has not instructed his Attorney General to file suit against Obamacare (this really ticks me off). BTW the NJ AG is a Black Democrat Woman.
He’s good on education reform, I like him, but the jury is still out on weather he really can reform this cesspool.
Christie must prove to me that he’s a conservative. It’s easy to look good when you’re surrounded by liberals.
Why replace one gun control lover with another?
New Tagline.
First, I love Nanny Huckabee getting his panties in a bunch over being called a liberal. Coulter should have just reeled off his big spending, nanny state economics, his amnesty and his Jimmy Carter foreign policy and that would have ended it.
On Christie, I’m a Second Amendment loving, anti-amnesty, Pro-Life, anti-gay marriage conservative and I’m wild about Christie. He is the only candidate who has any credibility cutting spending in a liberal state. That is the test case for cutting spending in Washington. That is the most important issue, above all others. Spending is at insane levels. If we end up with a pro-gun, anti-amnesty Christian Socialist like we had with Bush, we are doomed. We need someone with credibility on spending and taking on entitlements.
I’m going to be a “one issue” voter in 2012. Is the candidate credible on cutting spending and entitlements? If so, he or she has my vote. If not, move on.
Actually, Christie just gets the adulation because he knows something about mathematics and its application to budgeting. That’s a skill little practiced in American society, least of all in the Congress, which cannot even calculate the sum of its spending intentions for this fiscal year.
On every issue unrelated to mathematics of budgeting, Chris Christie might be a left-wing liberal. But New Jersey faces a dire fiscal crisis, so both he and we ignore whatever left-wing liberal views he has on unrelated matters.
Bush was pro-amnesty. And I’ll never support anyone who is pro-amnesty again. And they better have a perfect record on US sovereignty and the 2A as well.
Yes, Chris is the man! He would eat Obama’s lunch in a debate.
Anyone who is pro Amensty is either corrupt or dislikes this country.
Blowhard if the borders are not closed you won’t have to worry about the rest. And if we lose our second amendment rights there won’t be anything you can do about the rest of it either.
Christie also was in support of the ground-zero mosque and was in support of the firing of the transit employee who burned a koran on his own time. So he is not too strong on the first amendment either nor too worried about allowing a radical religion that murdered 3000 of our citizens on 9/11 to build a victory monument on the site of their crime.
I hope your thinking is in the minority. For all of our sakes.
ROFL! The one part where Ann mentions Duncan Hunter and you find a way to start a thread and sneak it in. You are truly shameless. I’m wondering why you didn’t start a thread on Sarah Palin’s appearance last week in San Diego. You know, the one with little Duncan Hunter in attendance? Where he sat and clapped his hands every time Palin made a good point?
I know CNN and MSNBC mixes ‘em up sometimes, but I expect most conservatives know that there are two Duncan Hunters.
