Uncle slam! Gay nephew blasts Carl (Paladino)
NY Post ^ | October 13, 2010 | REBECCA ROSENBERG in Buffalo and JENNIFER FERMINO in New York

Carl Paladino's openly gay nephew -- whom the candidate points to as proof he's no homophobe -- said yesterday he was "very offended" by his uncle's anti-gay rants.

Jeff Hannon, 23, a staffer for the Paladino campaign, also hasn't shown up at work since the bomb-throwing GOP gubernatorial hopeful made his caustic comments about homosexuality, one of Hannon's co-workers told The Post.

In a brief phone interview yesterday, Hannon, in his first public remarks on the incident, told The Post, "Obviously, I'm very offended by his comments."

Hannon said he had no further comments "right now," before hanging up.

The hunky, 6-foot-2 staffer hasn't been seen at campaign headquarters in Buffalo since Sunday, one worker said.

"Everybody was talking about it today. They are worried about him," said the worker. "They think he's upset."

Saying it a 2nd time in caps doesn’t correct what’s being said.

I just received this in email from a Tea Party friend that just delivered two Paladino signs to my house.

Carl will repeal Obamacare...electing him as governor is the only chance we have of surviving in NY Politico's article points out how the governor will have control over Obamacare...

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1010/43421.html

We have to do everything we can to help him win...

I agree with you. I also think that certain medical problems caused by homosexual behavior contribute to their overall nastiness.

I have a simple question that defeats even the most ardent homo supporter. Simply, do you or do you not believe that coprophilia is a mental disorder? Any male homosexual is by definition a coprophiliac.

And the vote still goes to Paladino!

Of course but how can you counteract disinformation without facts? Just yelling at someone doesn't clarify anything. He needs to come back and tell us the truth. I can't spread it unless I hear it.

I agree. Did the homosexual nephew go to the NY Post and say he was offended by Paladino’s remarks?

Did Paladino apologize to the homosexual “community?”

I know it's the truth about Rabbi Levin. I heard the soundbite.

My biggest objections are that the nephew *fed* the MSM with his comments, and that Paladino apologized for speaking the truth. If that is not the case, and the MSM is making up the stories, I want to know that. My prime concern is for the facts.

Carl Paladino only said he was against same-sex “marriage,” like most of the country, and he doesn’t want children brain-washed in the public schools.

He was RIGHT, and said nothing tasteless, just honest.

I heard a few soundbites in which he said exactly that. Thanks, Sun.

Back in the closet where they belong. Before they were the ones who were ashamed, now they expect normal people to keep their mouths shuts and stay in the closet. These b@st@rds are getting really self righteous. What is it exactly that makes them so morally superior?

And they enable the “poof” by pressuring Palladino to apologize. It used to be that families that had these people tried to hide it now they turn away from family members who will not go along with he enabling. This is just as the pyscho gays planned it, I remember years ago that part of their plan was to get everyone to “come out” to their families and then the families would pressure others to accept homosexuality. That is how it works, when there is someone that you know who is homo, you feel like you cannot say anything about it to anyone in the whole extended family. Then in your ordinary conversation, you have to think that someone that you are talking to may have a relative who is homo.

I know a couple of people who have homo relatives, one is the daughter-in-law of my best friend. My friend is strongly against homosexuality but her daughter-in-law stood up for her relative. She should have been ashamed and kept her mouth shut but instead she stood up for her relative as if it were something to be proud of.

The other person is a neighbor who stands up for a homo relative. He is not just standing up for a relative but he is standing up for homosexuality. I know that people feel loyalty to their family members but even blood ties does not make a wrong right. I had a niece who died due to drugs. I loved her because she was my niece but I still had no illusions about her.

What is going on in these families? Is it my family right or wrong? Is this a wrong headed family pride?

Unless someone who is Jewish educates me otherwise, I am under the impression that there's no such person as a liberal Orthodox Jew.

OK, I'm Jewish, so I'll take a stab at this for you. It depends on what you mean by "liberal," as that word has several meanings in and of itself, plus can be applied to many aspects of and issues in politics.

If you are talking only about "homosexual marriage," no Orthodox Jew would recognize that within their community, while only a small minority might allow that the secular government could sanction it for others, even though homosexual practice is forbidden for them personally. No Orthodox rabbi would ever officiate at any "gay marriage."

Of course some Orthodox Jews, like Joe Lieberman for example, are liberal politically for the most part. Orthodox Jews as individuals are pretty much all over the political spectrum, although certainly vote more conservative as a group than other Jews in general.

Thank you very much for your input.

Of course some Orthodox Jews, like Joe Lieberman for example, are liberal politically for the most part.

The only way I can understand this is in terms of self-identified Catholic politicians who are pro abortion despite the teachings of the Catholic Church. According to the Catholic Church, faith must be congruent with politics. Please enlighten me if I'm not getting it regarding the (generally speaking) Orthodox Jewish point of view.

They stick up for homosexuality in order to justify their homosexual family member. It is a purely emotional response.

According to the Catholic Church, faith must be congruent with politics.

The Orthodox Jewish position would generally be somewhat different with respect to that particular principle. It recognizes the difference between Jewish law and secular law. One adheres to Jewish law in his own life, family, and community, but realizes that the secular law may be different, as it is adopted to a much broader society (outside Israel). Orthodox Jews - in contrast to Muslims - do not attempt to force their own law onto the secular society, and tolerate and conform with secular law if there is no conflict with their observance of Jewish law and no conflict with their civil liberties. In their role in the secular scheme of things, they do not necessarily advocate positions for the general society that are consistent with Jewish law (although they do for for the most part), but rather positions which they feel best enable them to practice their faith and participate as a minority in the larger society (which now includes issues related to the very survival of the Jewish people, considering the presence of enemies bent on destruction of not only the Jewish people, but the entire Western civilization).

I don't know what exactly is the psychology here, but movement gays have been taking advantage of it for years. The NGO PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) is founded on the phenomenon, which may be as simple as emotional blackmail.

Every prominent politician, opinion leader, and tastemaker who had anti-gay opinions has had the movement "surface" a homosexual family member publicly or semipublicly back in the day, who was then used to "turn" the celebrity.

Examples:

There have been plenty of others; fill in the blanks.

But it happens with suspicious regularity, and in the case of Mary Cheney I found an article on a gay-GOP website indicaing that the Human Rights Campaign had been after her for years -- going back to the 2000 campaign -- to come out publicly so they could corner her parents.

They are such low scum.

Please contact me if you’re interested in being added on or taken off the Carl Paladino for Governor ping list. This looks to be a fairly high volume ping list for a while, probably until the election.

Everyone is missing the point here.. the liberal media WILL NOT tell you the truth. Even if Paladino did everything picture-perfect, all you would hear is exactly what you are hearing now- What a bad candidate he is.

While they do the same thing for "The Annointed One" Cuomo as they did for the first "annointed one" Obama... ignore his record and refuse to question anything he ever said or did.

And freepers here are falling for it

Look, you counteract lies with the truth. That is part of FR’s mission. Spread the truth. It can’t be disseminated if it isn’t known.

pretty much all of it

Look at the glee that they report that story?

“A gay man in his campaign is upset!!! BREAKING NEWS”

He was upset that they called him at home and pretty much told them to F OFF when he hung up on them.

And that was direct from inside the campaign.
