Look precious, I don’t know how make this any clearer. Obama’s adoption by Lolo doesn’t negate his U.S. citizenship at birth. It also doesn’t negate his British citizenship at birth. If you think it does, then Obama Sr.’s foreign citizenship should be irrelevant to you! If an adoption erases one, it erases both.
His parents cannot renounce his American citizenship for him, actively or passively. One can and may renounce one’s citizenship only upon the age of majority. There’s no record that Obama Jr. did so.
