I never insulted your intelligence; my correction could have been a little less rough. (It may have been abrasive, but wherein was it insulting?)
The can-not/cannot distinction is one of my “pet” annoyances when reading, and all the more unforgivable when I make the error; I don’t know why but it is a little thing that really irritates me.

Thank you for the clarification of your intentions. It's my intention when dealing with drones, especially those that show ignorance due to lack of education, rather than intelligence, to always error on the side of caution. We all know they have a hard time grasping the truth without being openly belligerent when we are trying to get a point across to those that seem open to something that they truly do not understand.
