Just think of it this way: Christine O’Donnell took out a nine time incumbent Congressman, the longest-serving U.S. Representative in the state’s history, a fomer Lt. Gov, and a two-time former governor in the primary.
I don’t think most people outside the state realize we voted as much against Castle this time as for Christine. If she wins, it would be nice , but Castle had just pushed the conservative base too far and him being taken out was reward enough.
Yea, it’s much like Jeff Bell did in NJ in 1978, ousting Clifford P. Case and voters turning to “Bill” Bradley for liberal consolation.
