When you capture people like that in a war, you don't ever release information about their capture in the first place. That's what gets the whole media and legal system in gear to start questioning the methods under which these "trials" take place.

Believe me -- I have no intention of coming to the defense of someone like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. But how do you have any kind of a trial for someone like this once you've already acknowledged that he's been subjected to treatment that would render most of the evidence against him meaningless in any kind of a trial?
