Republican Rep. Dan Lungren blasts a Democrat on the ballot in his new television ad. But the main target of his attack isn't his 3rd Congressional District opponent Ami Bera, it's House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
"Nancy Pelosi is a true reflection of the liberal ideas of San Francisco, but that's not where America has been or I think wants to go," the Gold River Republican says in the ad. "....I disagree with her on her on her spending policies, her taxing policies, her regulatory policy, her size of government."
Lungren calls Bera, the first-time candidate challenging him in the 3rd Congressional District, "basically a Pelosi clone" . . .

From the article:
Bera campaign manager Lucinda Guinn responded: "Dan Lungren should move to San Francisco if he wants to run against Nancy Pelosi. Instead of focusing on middle class families right here in northern California he's acting like a typical politician trying to distract voters from his record."
Yeah, right. Who is Bera (is that Yogi's son/daughter??) going to vote for Speaker? The party in power controls everything in the House so the election in each district is truly national. Republicans are justified in running against Pelosi just like the Dems should admit they are running for her and against Boehner.
