Your post makes some wrong points. MANY servicers and the original lenders cannot prove in court that they hold the mortgage. MERS is a disaster and the original docs are no where to be found. It takes originals and NOT FORGED NOTARY signatures to go to court.

I just think it’s criminal that people can get behind on their payments and then act like since nobody has the original loan documents that they don’t have to pay anything and can just sit in the house forever.

I also haven’t read a single thing about forged notary signatures.
