Hmm . . . looking at your list, I see nothing that leads into an injunction against theft . . . or a requirement to honor one's parents. Indeed, there's not a single positive comandment (e.g., "love your neighbor") in there--and quite a few missing negative ("thou shalt not") commandments that we know from the epistles were expected to be universal.

That's why I suspect the Acts 15 council was not attempting to give a comprehensive list of commands, but rather a set of injunctions targeted at removing Gentiles from idolatrous practices.

Btw, what exactly do you mean by, "all non-supervised killings for food purposes"? Who is supposed to be supervising the meat industry? (Obviously, you're not thinking rabbinic supervision.)

Shalom.

We were discussing Acts 15, so there wouldn’t be in the list anything beyond the Acts 15 stipulations.

The gospels and letters of the Apostles pretty well spell out the positive commands that cover everything in the law.

As mentioned to Zionist C, the Gentiles, never required to keep the Jewish law, had things added by the council of Jerusalem. They didn’t have things subtracted.

The Law applied to the Jews.
