Carl Paladino says its not okay to be gay.
"There is nothing to be proud of in being a dysfunctional homosexual," the Republican gubernatorial candidate told a small Hasidic group at Khal Adas Kasho synagogue in Williamsburg today.
"That's not how god created us, and that's not the example that we should be showing our children."
Paladino, who has made his opposition to the gay marriage and "the homosexual agenda" clear, went much further yesterday, to say children "would be much better off and much more successful getting married and raising a family" than being gay."
"And I don't want them to be brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option," he said. "It isn't."
The speech came just days after the suicide of a gay Rutgers student and an anti-gay gang attack in the Bronx.
His Democratic opponent, Andrew Cuomo, blasted the remarks as "stunning homophobia and a glaring disregard for basic equality."
A campaign spokesman said "These comments along with other views he has espoused make it clear that he is way out of the mainstream a

Every so often, I point out to Lefties that queers have a Darwinistic dysfunction.
This confuses them to no end.
Newsday.com reported that Mr. Paladino's prepared text also included a sentence saying: "There is nothing to be proud of in being a dysfunctional homosexual.'' But Mr. Paladino omitted that statement when he gave the speech.
LongBow has been consistently posting how Rs are going to lose all over FR. Not trying to sow defeatism, I’m sure. /sarc
considering the AP and the NYT are hand in glove, the fact the MSM in NYC is heavily homosexual populated would give little reason for them to object.
The MSM, including FNC, KNOW this is a winning statement. That is why it is being censored by omission. (EVEN Rush will probably skip it because he has a blind spot on homosexual issues)
Actually, it’s the homosexual agenda nonsense that people are sick of having shoved down their throats via the stroke of a pen.
Polygamy is against Gods intent because Jesus affirmed monogamy as the ideal of creation. This is evident in the prohibitions against polygamy imposed on all church leaders.
Further evidence is the failure of scripture to provide even one positive example of a polygamous family.
Since I'm not a chr*stian, your sources have no validity as far as I'm concerned.
It was chr*stianity with its abrogation of "irrational" ritual laws in favor of universal rational morality ("go ahead and eat pork, but just treat people right") that started the descent to where we now find ourselves.
Speaking the truth strongly will only encourage others to do the same. We ain't seen nothin' yet!
Wow....I like this guy he speaks from the gut, you know what you are getting when you vote for this guy.
Tacx-chick is correct; you are not.
What he says is true, it is time for the men of this country and women to denounce a lifestyle that is destructive to our society as whole but also to the individuals that “choose” this lifestyle.
I know. And when Paladino said God’s Name, he said It with a capital G. :-)
ping!
>>we see all the atheist, Darwinism young adults who worship mother earth and believe in hedonism saying it is good to be gay......
Make sure to point out to any you meet that queers are Darwinistically defective. It really forces them to think. This is A Good Thing.
It’s nonsense until the Assembly passes a bill for homosexual “marriage,” right? (/s)
And many Republicans know and love someone who has had an abortion. . . that doesn’t mean you can’t talk about it. Love the sinner, hate the sin. None of us have to “accept” actions we believe are wrong. We do not have to accept homosexuality, and neither does Palladino. Not hate, just not “acceptance”. He’s going for broke here and I applaud him. Win or lose, he’s honest.
It's called arguing the issues within the prism of political reality - not living in some fantasyland where New York voters suddenly approve of making a point of calling gays dysfunctional. If you think this was a smart political move you simply have no understanding of NY politics.
Do you want to win elections? Or would you rather lose and feel really good about how you were defeated?
It sure would've helped if you'd mentioned that sooner. :>)
And you're wrong: Christianity did not say, "eat pork...treat people right."
It said, "Anything you eat is created by God, so it's good if received in thanksgiving. What you eat won't separate you from God."
And it was perfectly all right for Jewish people to continue their eating habits. There certainly wasn't anything wrong with them.
It's just that God always did have a soft spot for Gentiles. As the scriptures testify. He wasn't about to let a BLT determine someone's eternal destiny.
I call your nay-saying “BS” defeatism. How about this, from a NY state resident? I just wonder why you consistently post the same defeatist crap all over FR. What are you, a member of GOProud or something?
Don’t even THINK he may not win...DO NOT BELIEVE THE LIBERAL MEDIA AND THE POLLS!!!!
You are not seeing what I am seeing. there are Paladino signs EVERYWHERE (and I drive across the state every week)
I have only seen 2 cuomo signs- one posted in someone’s derelict business and another on a slum house.
Remember THE POLLS had Paladino tied with Lazio in the primaries- (48-47)
then he beat him by 25% (62-37)
