From what I can tell refugio fell afoul of the ban hammer because he wouldn’t cease & desist in his blood feud with GOPCapitalist. Shortly thereafter GOPCapitalist chose suicide by Opus.
What remains of Wlat’s post don’t show a pro-dhimmicrat bent, but certainly was hyper-critical of GW. I know that he was looked on as some sort of anti-christ by the Lost Causers, but his posting history, while pointedly offering a divergent POV to the LC, was no worse than anything posted against him. That said, no record remains of the particular infraction that got him banned.
I haven’t read much by #3fan. Your intimation of quotes direct from Stormfront is interesting, given recent posts from some neo-confederates.
I remember swattie throwing around this list as some sort of idiotic “proof” of the superiority of southron FReepers to the rest of us.

That's true. Apparently our host had pulled a number of capitan's posts to GOPcap after being shown them by GOPcap. One of them might have contained some personal information or information that could easily lead to GOPcap's identity (that personal information post may or may not have been on this particular occasion). According to GOPcap, JR then issued a cease and desist order to capitan telling him not to post to or about GOPcap. capitan disobeyed that and then claimed he was under no such restriction. GOPcap pointed out that claim to JR (from my memory), and capitan was immediately banned (also from my memory).
I was sorry to see GOPcap go. He was really sharp and brought historical information to the threads. It is also possible that among other reasons for writing his opus, he was very busy on a new undertaking.
I suspect that we can no longer pull up some of the posts that lead to people being banned if those posts were deleted from threads. In fact, whole threads were sometimes deleted because of flame wars, which meant the loss of the history information it contained unless you had personally archived it.
I observed an intense flame war on one thread some years ago. I was gone from the thread for an hour or two, When I came back an entire large block of posts had been simply deleted from the thread (with no comment as I remember) including some harmless posts of mine and others that were interspersed among the flaming posts. I checked, and various flaming posters had been banned. non-seq and I posted on the thread after that -- we survived in a suddenly empty thread and wondered what had just happened.
I've been told by a poster who used to be on these WBTS threads before I joined FR, that frequent flame wars used to result in batches of the flamers being banned. I haven't seen that happen recently. Anyway, be careful.
For what it's worth, I don't recognize most of the names of the pro-Confederate posters you mentioned. If they were on our WBTS threads, they did not make much of a lasting impression. You probably likewise don't recognize many of stainlessbanner's list of banned pro-Northern posters. I don't recognize all of them all either.
I enjoyed having Wlat on the threads because I learned new things in refuting his posts. However, he was also frustrating to deal with in that after being refuted on some incorrect information he posted, he would often make the same error filled post on the next thread. I challenged him about it. He simply said that he was posting to the lurkers. In other words, he was posting to folks who might not have seen the post being refuted in a previous thread. I lost what respect I had for him at that point.
