OK, you’re awake now but you’re reaching for the wrong weapon to defeat your enemy.

This enemy isn’t something that can be fought with words, thoughts or deeds. This is something that must be fought on the spiritual level and your people have forgotten this.

Remember the promise YHWH made to you!

Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: And they shall be my people, and I will be their God: And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them. And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, [It is] desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal [them], and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD. JER. 32:37-44

You are the Children of the Most High, act like it! Quit trusting in man and man’s ideas and put your trust back on the Ancient of Days, the one who called you out from Egypt, defended you from your enemies and who set you apart from the rest of the world so that His glory would be made known. You were set apart to deliver the Salvation of the World, which you did, and be a guide to the Gentiles as to how God’s people should live, which you’ve failed to do.

I tell you this as someone who would never desert your side, but you have got to quit trusting in mankind for your salvation. You were not designed for that and the proof is in the pudding, just look at what that trust has bought you.

Israel, your husband is calling you home. Quit whoring with the world, it’s time to answer His call.

The importance of this thread can’t be stressed enough. The text of this thread is a must read for everyone on our email lists.

IMO, the truth contained in this thread must be spread or we’re doomed as a free nation. Not only do we have foreign enemies, we have Ruling Class political enemies and we have enemies among the MSM. If we want to provide a free country to our children and grandchildren, these truths must be shouted from the rooftops 24/7 until the useful idiots wake up.

It may be helpful to repair this 60 year obsession with associating American Patriots with Goose Stepping Nazis then. Don’t spend 60 years painting the people most loyal to our constitution as those most likely to march Jews off to camps, then turn around and expect solidarity in the face of a common enemy.

I’m a Southerner. My family has served in every war this country has ever had. I can’t think of a single member of my family that’s ever uttered a single anti-Semitic thought. Yet at the same time I am fully aware that Jewish organizations have been instrumental over the years as painting entire generations of my family as ignorant racist hicks. I was born under that sign myself. I had that accusation hung over my head the moment I was born a white male Christian in Mississippi. I’ve lived under that slander my entire life. It came from somewhere! It didn’t just come out of thin air!

This is not some psycho lunatic rant about “da jews” controlling the media or some such grassy knoll garbage. This is about openly Jewish anti-discrimination organizations overstepping their intended mandate and slandering my people for 60 years! I’m suppose to just forget that now that the wolves are at the door? I would be more than happy to stand with Jewish folks against these lunatics, but there are some fences that need mending.

“The Chassid noticed that the banker proceeded to rip a page from the holy book he had just bought and holding it to the open flame on the stove, used the page to light his cigar. The Chassid said not a word but simply drew out from his pocket the 100 ruble note he had just received from the banker, held it over the stove as well and used it to light his cigar.”

A very long, but good read. It seems the moral of that story is there’s nothing like a good cigar.

A very good homily, but he got something horribly wrong. He spoke of peoples' moral clarity in opposition to Hitler.

Well, yes, eventually. And, eventually, there was similar moral clarity on Imperial Japan and Mussolini.

There was never the same moral clarity on Stalin, who posed at least as great a danger as Hitler.

And, of course, there was Mao -- moral clarity where he was concerned was easy and relatively cheap, as he had less import to the world during his time.

The point being, it's easy to look back now, after we fought WWII, and after we won the Cold War, and point to a sense of "moral clarity" that animated the actual war.

It was not so at the time -- for every Roosevelt and Churchill who "had moral clarity and an exquisite understanding of what was at stake," there was a Neville Chamberlain or a Charles Lindbergh or an Alger Hiss and all of the people who followed their leads, and who opposed early intervention on a variety of grounds.

It took the actual outbreak of war to crystallize that moral clarity -- war on ground chosen by the other side, at that. "The prospect of being hanged focuses the mind wonderfully."

The implications of a fight against something like Nazism, Communism, or radical Islam are highly unpleasant. Moral clarity leads to timely intervention; lack of it, leads to a horrific battle. We see what happened in the past; and at least we're not quite in the same boat today.

The over-riding accomplishment of George W. Bush was to step into the fight against radical Islam while it was "still 1935," so to speak. This is a blessing and a curse, of course.

By attacking when he did, Bush went after radical Islam while it was still relatively weak -- a good thing. But because it's still relatively weak, it's easy for many to take the easy way out, where moral clarity is concerned.

And lack of moral clarity goes both ways.

There are those who, seeing a lot of "good Muslims," refuse to acknowledge the danger posed by the bad ones, and thus refuse to oppose the latter. This is made worse by an overweening sense that the worst thing in the world is to "be mean," and that any aggressive action, no matter how justified, is "mean" if you're the stronger party.

And there are those who, seeing that there are a lot of unquestionably "bad Muslims," conclude that all Muslims are bad, and that all should be eradicated. This view, common on FR, is monumentally stupid if only because it creates a billion extra enemies for no practical gain.

The problem with both views is that they deal with emotionally-charged strawmen, and the stridency of the opposing sides precludes any kind of rational discussion on the actual problem -- radical Islam -- and thus there's no means to create a rational strategy to deal with it.

The Rabbi is correct about the need for moral clarity on radical Islam. But the real question remains: what does he propose we should do about it?

Overall, a pretty good warning of the Islamic danger. I only question how good those “good” moslems are.

Now, if the rabbi would open his other eye, he would see Socialism as the twin existential threat to all of us. He is still an ACLU member and a Democrat, and couldn’t resist a backhanded slap at President Bush even while praising his clear stand against terror. Some liberals have inherited a very myopic view of conservatives, and we are weary of it.

Excellent except for the following points:

Today the enemy is radical Islam but it must be said sadly and reluctantly that there are unwitting, co-conspirators who strengthen the hands of the evil doers. Let me state that the overwhelming number of Muslims are good Muslims, fine human beings who want nothing more than a Jeep Cherokee in their driveway, a flat screen TV on their wall and a good education for their children, but these good Muslims have an obligation to destiny, to decency that thus far for the most part they have avoided.

1) There is no such thing as "radical Islam". There is Islam. There are Muslims who follow it completely, and Muslims who are slack about following it completely. The ones who follow Islam are not "radical", they are just more devoutly following the tenants of their so-called "religion", killing and lying in the name of their false god and psychotic "prophet".

2) The supposed "unwitting co-conspirators" don't exist. There are enablers and co-conspirators, and there is nothing "unwitting" about their involvement or motivations.

3) The "overwhelming number of Muslims are good Muslims" assertion is based on the false premise addressed in point 1). If they aren't beheading or enslaving you, they are simply lazy Muslims, and are most certainly not showing some kind of invisible, innate Islamic morality.

Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.

Great summation of lots of stuff. I have only one point of disagreement to this part... "The good Muslims must place ads in the NY Times. They must buy time on network TV, on cable stations, in the Jerusalem Post, in Le Monde, in Al Watan, on Al Jazeena condemning terrorism, denouncing unequivocally the slaughter of the innocent – thus far, they have not."

Militant Islam is more of a brutal lockstep institution than a religion when you peel back the first layer of the onion. I propose that the "good Muslims" are paralyzed with fear..as is most of the western Media. They fear for their lives and the lives of their families if they go against the huge political monster that hijacked a "religion".

If you are waiting for a group, any group, to stand up and openly declare war against Islam, you may be waiting an eternity. It's like the Lion running lose in the arena...everyone sees it from above, but no-one stands directly in it's path or suggests that someone else go but all are secretly plotting for it's demise. We have to collectively show strength without giving the beast a target.

I know this sermon has been fawned over and recommended by Dennis Prager.

But what good is it, if the Rabbi proclaims proudly that he didn’t vote for George Bush, even though he commends his moral clarity with regard to the issue he is declaiming ?

Rabbi, YOU are part of the problem.
