Good news for Rigell. Golden is having a negligible effect on the race so far...hope that holds.

I would be exceedingly cautious about the accuracy of this poll. The volume of undecideds at this point is simply too large.

I would be exceedingly cautious about the accuracy of this poll. The volume of undecideds at this point is simply too large. Since Golden wasn't a part of this survey,a lot of these "undecideds" are probably leaning toward him. Plus... undecideds typically tend to slide toward the challenger in the late going.

Maybe. On the other hand, I don’t see ANY of these “surprisingly” competitive races (and there are new ones reported everyday) tilting toward the Democrats. That in itself suggests that a tsunami is building.

I’m glad I won’t be voting in this, as I dislike him slightly less than Nye.

Most of the undecideds are Golden supporters which still gives the plurality to Rigell.

6 points against an incumbent 2-3 weeks before the election is huge. Especially when there’s a so-called conservative 3rd party spoiler in the mix.

I don’t have that much faith in polls.

Completely agree...
He gave to Obamanator because he represented “change”?
Rigell is no conservative...fershur...
To: pgkdan
that is in spite of a bottomless pit of Democratic money going to Nye. His TV adds appear on every station seemingly more than once per hour. I am as tired of seeing his face as I am of Obama’s.

Have you seen the ad the DNCCC is running against Rigell for taking money from the cash for clunkers program? Criticizing him in the primary was fair play and I hated the fact that he participated in the program but for the DNCCC to run ads against him for taking “our hard earned money” with cash for clunkers is the ultimate in hypocrisy. The people who foisted that boondoggle on us are attacking the very people who implemented THEIR program! It’s hilarious.

The lack of independent polling in this race has been surprising; by my tally, this is the first media poll I’ve seen since Rigell won the primary. Nye is a favorite of the local media, so I believe the lack of polling is deliberate, to some degree. They’re trying to keep Glenn Nye propped up, in hopes that Rigell makes a mistake, or union money can bail him out.
Also, good to see that Golden isn’t a factor. His military record is impressive, but Kenny believed the nomination should have been his by acclamation.
The undecideds should break decisively for Rigell.

Besides that, there’s something about a car dealer that just doesn’t sound right as a congressman.

Yes. I’m very disappointe dwith Golden. Kenny didn’t even run in the primary. When he saw the field he just dropped out and declared himself an independent. And now he has the audacity to put ‘Experience and Integrity’ on his campaign signs. He was chairman of the Party but now runs as an independent because he didn’t want competition i the primary. Where’s the integrity in that?

I saw Rigell’s rebuttal saying that because of the downturn in economy he had to take part to stay competitive and to pay his employees.
