Obama: Rove meddling in Illinois Senate race
POLITICO ^ | October 7, 2010 | CAROL E. LEE

Trying to keep his former Senate seat out of Republican hands, President Barack Obama singled out former Bush administration advisor Karl Rove Thursday night for meddling in the race through special interest-funded attack ads.

“Right here in Illinois, in this Senate race, two groups funded and advised by Karl Rove have outspent the Democratic Party two-to-one in an attempt to beat [Democratic nominee] Alexi [Giannoulias] – two-to-one. Funded and advised by Karl Rove,” Obama said at a fundraiser for Giannoulias in Chicago.

Obama also continued his cloaked assault on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – “one of the largest groups paying for these ads” – citing a recent report that showed some of the group’s money has come from foreign companies.

Rove, that old lemon-sucker, must still be doing something right, then.

Rove mentioned tonight on Greta that he likes O’Donnell’s “Like you” ads.

Don’t think most people care what Rove is doing anymore. This is 2010. Find a new target Obama because the Bush people being demonized has gotten old. The only person that might still inspire some passion in motivating the Left I think is Cheney because conservatives still have a soft spot for him, and Cheney has been quiet lately.

I love it. 0bama accuses Rove of meddling in the race, as he does that exact same thing himself!

Oh and I don’t care if Kirk wins this or not. I’d prefer not since I don’t view him any better then Castle. The only smallupside to this race for me is an emotional one. Sort of a point and laugh at Obama moment that he’d lose a Senate seat and Governor mansion in Illinois. Stinging rebuke for him.

I’m just tired of the old guard being attacked. The rest of us have moved on, pick new bogeymen if you have too but get over the past already.

I don’t think this is really about Rove.

And more about the Chief Whiner of the United States (CWOTUS pronounced Coatus) being nothing but the Whining Obammunist he is!

"Chicago, prove them wrong. Let’s show Washington one more time change doesn’t come from the top – it doesn’t come from millions of dollars of attack ads. Change happens from the bottom up."

seems like "change" came from millions of dollars ($750 million, in fact) worth of attack ads, and happened from the top in 2008. I don't recall him having a problem with it then.

Backyard Barry is supposed to be the only one allowed to meddle in the Illinois Senate race. LOL! Barry! You really need to grow up, grow a pair and stop the whining!

When he starts talking about foreigners meddling in Chicago business why doesn’t he say the same thing about Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, and all the other meddling in Arizona’s business.

Bambi “Meddled” in the Kenyan presidential election in 2007 as a US Senator (violating the Logan Act). He also recently committed USA money and effort (even sent in VP Bite-me) to pass the Kenya constitution change that provides for government sponsored abortions in a Christian country.

I suppose the Sepia Savior wants us to believe that left-wing “special interest” (translation: Soros-funded) groups never ever run attack ads against Republicans.

Obama is a thin skinned hypocrite. Soros has also been attacking that the opposition is spending money on ads. Seems the supreme court decision leveled the playing field.

“Kirk is Rove’s kind of RINO.”

Don’t care. We can have 10 RINOS there as long as we control the senate. If we control the senate, we control the agenda and the committe chairs.

Then in 2012 we go after the RINOS.
