Nothing concrete, but this nightmare scenario has been on our collective radar screen for so long that it only stands to reason that something must be up. Simply put, Meek cant win; with less than a month to go, theres no longer any doubt about it. Even if Crist dropped out and endorsed him, hed probably still lose to Rubio as centrist Republicans in Crists camp tilted back towards the GOP nominee. Meeks only role in this race at this point is to make Rubios path to the Senate nice and easy, which hes doing a splendid job of.

Cannot believe Meeks would do that. And after that awful first pitch in the TB/Texas game today, anyone voting for Crist is really dumb. Girly Man.
I don’t think that would help. Rubio would still romp him one on one.
Going down in flames, the self centered egoist that he is...
On the other hand, there could be some of those “moderates” who say to themselves, “Self, I thought this was a discontented republican candidate, but he’s aligning with the democrats. Time for me to go home to the republicans.”
If Rubio were extreme, you might get a lot of resistance toward him, but the truth is that he really isn’t on some far off fringe.
He sounds like a regular Joe to me.
Somebody made him a deal he couldn’t refuse.
Crist is a Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road!
If Meeks drops out, the black voters will not vote. Period.
Hows'about a whole pile of money and a cushy no-show Citrus Czar position for the next two years?
Beats the hell out of political oblivion, which he is facing now.
We have a winner!!!
If Meek “drops out” his name will stay on the ballot, as occurred when Mark Foley dropped out of the FL-16 race in 2006 and when Clay Shaw’s Dem challenger in FL-22 dropped out in 2004. Meek will get 5%-10% even if he “drops out,” since (i) absentee ballots were already mailed out, (ii)Meek will still be the one with the D next to his name while Crist is like 8 slots down the ballot, so ignorant or lazy Democrats will just vote for Meek, and (iii) many Democrats, particularly blacks, will cast protest votes for Meek because “he was forced out of the race by Crist.”
And if Crist becomes the de facto Dem candidate, Rubio will get over 50% of the vote as the few Republicans and GOP-leaning indies still sticking with Crist will abandon him. So Rubio would beat Crist by 52%-40% with 7% for Meek. Plus, because of lower black and moonbat turnout, Rick Scott would become a shoo-in for the governorship and the GOP would be pretty much guaranteed of pickups in FL-02, FL-08, FL-22 and FL-24.
That being said, there’s no way that Meek will drop out of the race and endorse Crist. If he didn’t do it back when Crist was leading in most polls while he was below 20%, he won’t do it now.
I would be angry about the usual under-the-table maneuverings by the Democrats, but got to hand it to Democrats. They don’t accept defeat. Keeping the gravy train moving is too important for them.
Actually Meeks seems to be more appealing than Charlie the Tuna.
Absentee ballots have already been sent out in Florida.
I don’t know about rumors, the last one was about Moss being traded and we know that wasn’t true.
oh wait.
There is no freakin’ way that the Liberal black population of Florida is going to abandon Meeks who is black, and vote for that cracker white boy Charlie Crist. They will sit this election out in droves before they ever vote for Charlie, no matter what the National Dhimmies tell them to do.
I agree with you.
The aged, infirm, and illiterate just push the “D” button.
They don’t vote for names.
Crist is way down the ballot after the little socialist parties??
If this happens then we know without even the slightest question that we are at war. This would be a direct, concerted effort to circumvent the will of the populace and the political process, and would also make clear that there is definitive collusion by the left against the core of America.
