panaxanax,

“We’re not stupid and for you to imply such is way out of character for you, my FRiend.”

Is it out of character? Reread Joe Brower’s comments. His posts consist of ad hominem attacks. His first comment on post #3 indicates that he had previously talked to neverdem about this thread, and that he was expecting differing views.

His second comment, post #11, consists of personal attacks against those who disagree with his position. Joe followed that up with yet another ad hominem and sarcastic post. Note how he never addressed the issue intellectually (see post #25 as well).

Perhaps Joe is revealing his true character, or lack there of.

Joe, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. The NRA is the friend of my enemy. We’re not stupid and for you to imply such is way out of character for you, my FRiend.

No, actually he has been showing an enormous hole in his character lately by his constant attacks on others who do not share his views, sorta reminds me of another fella...

There was another guy hanging around the NRA threads for awhile, he also prostrated himself at the NRA's alter and in the end, threw himself on the NRA's sword so many times, that he was finally bled dry by the hate and vitriol... I think it was 2.5 something or another.

And I see a few others already willing to follow in his footsteps...

No, I don’t think so. I’ve talked to Joe by private mail and he is deeply serious about us keeping our gun rights. He is 100% a fighter and calls the NRA about his (and our) concerns.

Like I told Joe a few weeks back. “We’re fighting the same war, but from different foxholes”. Some of us wish to express our anger with the NRA by holding back our money and giving up our membership (temporarily, I hope). And then there are some that do not wish to let go. They remain faithful members, but are also frustrated by NRA’s recent actions.

I liken it to being married for 40 years and not wanting to file divorce papers, even though you found your wife cheating. You just can’t accept that after being faithful for so many years that she could do such a thing.

It’ll all work out in the end and I feel that the NRA will see the big picture. Unfortunately, that will probably be yet another anti-gun Supreme Court Justice, at which time the pro-gun movement will be handcuffed and headed for the gallows.
