This Aunt Zeituni is Example #1 of what is deadly wrong with the American entitlement culture. She is in no way, shape or form grateful that she is being supported by the state. In fact, she’s angry that she isn’t getting more. Entitlements create a bad moral hazard—an incredible arrogance in the persons receiving them. They will destroy this country unless we can painfully roll them back and make the Aunt Zeitunis of the country do an honest day’s work.

Brand new legal immigrants can toodle up to Social Security and collect SSI, along with free medical care, Food Stamps, housing assistance, etc. I often how much of the Social Security problems are related to these people, along with anchor babies and their kith and kin.

Add in foreign aid, US Aid, etc. and US taxpayers are funding the welfare department for the world!
