That would be even more wonderful if the GOP could be trusted to govern in any remotely conservative manner. Just wait until the Republican leadership shows the freshmen the joys of buying votes with our tax dollars. That whole town is rotten. I say move the capitol to Salt Lake City!

Or make them stay in their districts. Allow them to go to Washington to vote one weekend a month (with the bills on deck known to the public well in advance) and forbid them from having a residence there so they cannot avoid their constituents all year long. If they stayed in their districts they would know how bad things are and not make idiotic statements about "millions of jobs saved or created".

Salt Lake City is a nice town, but too many amenities to keep politicians there. I’d prefer something a little more isolated, like somewhere along I-80 in Wyoming. Or reopen Fort Laramie.
