San Jose California, summer 1985. I was walking downtown with my wife when we noticed a Mercedes with a dog in the front seat with the windows rolled up. My wife went to a phone booth (1985 remember?) to call the police and I stayed by the car. After 7 or 8 minutes the dog began to show signs of heat stress (drooling and shaking). I picked up a rock and broke the side window of the Mercedes. The police came and told me I had saved the dogs life. I was billed for the window and had to pay $435 for installation.

Hope the dog ran away from his &%@#^& owner and found a new home.
