I just heard the radio station in Raleigh (WRDU) point out the issue and basically come to Pantano’s defense, which is helpful. Also there’s a Big Talker down in Wilmington that is beating this up for Ilario.

Two enemies of the US and the American people were shot by an American soldier. Well isn’t that just too bad. Apply the rules of political correctness to WAR and we had better simply phone in our LOSS right up front.

That explains it all. I know “people” up there and will have to find out from them if there is anything more to this thatn what we could find quickly.

I would still like to know exactly what it was that she was fired for, but combine that with the sore loserman deal and I would imagine that would tie it up nice and neatly.

What is it about people and egos that usually end with a self inflicted wound in their feet?

At this point - DO NOT VOTE FOR ANY “D’s” - regardless of any circumstances.

Any vote for a “D” is a vote for REID/PELOSI/OBAMA!

They shoved it down our throats in March with OBAMACARE. Now we SHOVE IT BACK!

Deborah Johns: “terminated last year by the Tea Party Express for cause”

October 5th, 2010 5:49 am ET

A handful of newspapers had quite the field day shouting from the rooftops that Deborah Johns, former Vice Chair of the Tea Party Express, has not only endorsed Mike McIntyre’s run for his eighth term in Congress, but she has also attacked the GOP challenger, Ilario Pantano, with statements such as “That is not a war hero,” and”It is people like that that give all our military a bad name.”

Just for the record, Pantano not once ever claimed to be a “war hero.” Only his detractors state that. Pantano simply states that he is a two war veteran.

But nonetheless, The Tea Party Express has just sent the following Press Release to me for publication;

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 4, 2010

Tea Party Express Clarifies Role of Former Vice Chair, Deborah Johns

Several news media outlets today reported on Deborah Johns’ decision to oppose the candidacy of Republican congressional candidate (and Iraq war veteran) Ilario Pantano and cited Ms. Johns former role as Vice Chair of the Tea Party Express.

Ms. Johns was terminated last year by the Tea Party Express for cause. We do not agree with her views regarding Mr. Pantano one bit. We wish to make it clear that she has absolutely no involvement with the tea party activities of the Tea Party Express, nor will she ever in the future.

It is our understanding that Ms. Johns was similarly terminated from her position with Combat Veterans for Congress and no longer is associated with their organization as well.

We find Ms. Johns’ comments towards a proud Iraq war veteran abhorrent and reprehensible. They do not speak for our organization nor reflect our views in any way, shape or form.

Mrs. Obama, who enjoys high popularity and is an in-demand guest on the campaign trail, also plans a call with activists Wednesday, hoping to re-ignite the enthusiasm that elevated a freshman senator to the presidency.

“Now, Barack and I need you to help show that energy again,” Mrs. Obama wrote.

“Barack can’t keep making progress without strong allies in Congress,” she wrote. “And now the same people who’ve opposed us at every turn are targeting the folks who voted to make change real. They think we can’t do it again. But they’re wrong.”

“A leading tea party activist broke ranks Monday to endorse Democratic Rep. Mike McIntyre of North Carolina, expressing concern about a Republican challenger who was once charged with murder in connection with his military service in Iraq.”

So the guy was fighting in a war for the USA and was charged with murder? Apparently he was cleared and is an innocent man, otherwise he wouldn’t be running for office. How many other INNOCENT SERVICEMEN have been charged with trumped up murder charges in Iraq and have been proven innocent?

She was "terminated for cause"...hmmm wondering if she was a leftist who wiggled into the organization then tried to sabotage it. Perhaps she stole money? Would love to know, after all her character should be examined if she is going to denigrate a war veteran.

Agreed... Mike McIntyre voted against the surge in Iraq and he voted for Obama’s stimulus.

McIntyre is from our local 7th district, in a heavily Democrat county. And conservatives, like myself, have another problem with McIntyre...

He says that he will vote to give federal recognition to our county’s majority, Indian population. The so-called, “Lumbee” Indians would get millions of dollars in taxpayer money to, among other things, build casinos here. I honestly don’t know if Lumbees were ever a legitimate tribe, but they have so inter-married with whites now, they’re few, if any, full-bloodied ones left. And they, or anyone else, shouldn’t get paid, because they were born a particular race.

This is the same guy; I’d encourage everybody who can afford to financially support the Pantano campaign to do so. He is a terrific candidate and a solid citizen.

And how many other terrorists did Pantano kill while serving our Country?

Deborah Johns has mentioned many times that her son has served in the Mideast on more than one tour.

Could it be possible that by doing his job that Pantano eliminated a enemy terrorist that potentially could have killed her son?
