For a conservative Republican running in a conservative Republican bastion in a decidedly Republican year, even that’s a little closer than anyone expected.

I'll be voting for the former yell leader ... but please, don't insult my intelligence.

This was my reaction as well. I almost painted my computer screen with coffee when I read that. Gov. ‘Good-Hair’ is anything but conservative, the only reason he hasn’t done worse is that the TX Governor doesn’t have a lot of power compared with other states. If it wasn’t for the close race, I wouldn’t vote for him again, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to let that weaselly DIM White be governor of my state.
