Speaking of dialing, I watched my daughters try to dial a rotary phone once. It was comical.
Ain't it the truth?!? We brought an old 1930's phone down from the attic and put it in the kitchen. The first time our sons tried to use it they were completely confused by it. It's funny what changes when you're not thinking about it. Kind of like changing the dial on the TV - kids today wouldn't have a clue about "don't change that dial!". Our sons use the dial phone now, and the younger one enjoys stumping other kids with it from time to time. We like it because it's heavy and doesn't fall off the counter as readily as the lightweight newer ones. Unfortunately it doesn't generate tones, so it has limitations too. It's only good for talking, not selecting 1 for English, 2 for Spanish . . .
