extremely depressing numbers. I wish there was somewhere else to go but we were the last hope for humankind. I fear for the future of my children everyday.
It is time to fight, not get depressed. Surely you did not think that the democratic base would remain so unmotivated. They have been there all along but not as “likely voters”
Me, too.
That’s why I support space colonization...
The liberals’ dumbing down and inculcation of a dependency mentality in the electorate is nearly complete.
So do I. Sometimes I think we may be better off not giving the rats the advantage of scapegoating the Republicans for their failures. Let them totally collapse and take ALL the blame and get rid of the rest of the rats along with obama in 2012.
Right now everything is in flux because the media is scaring the voters of the new conservative candidates. They're in a fog of confusion. The more they see and hear and comprehend of the conservative candidates vs. the socialist-progressive incumbents with their fascist boots on their economic trachea, the big picture will come into focus. Wait till more bad economic numbers come in and watch them vote to save the country rather their own petty personal quibbles!
Not depressing at all.
Democrats typically have a three to four point advantage in the generic ballot, based on voter registration. A tie in the generic ballot means big gains for the GOP, and a lead of three or four points fully supports the idea that the GOP will win forty or more seats in the House and seven or eight seats in the Senate.
I assumed that the earlier polls showing a twelve or nine-point advantage for the GOP were outliers, because numbers of that kind would mean a pickup of one hundred seats in the House (or more) and that is unlikely to occur.
Louisiana had a special election Saturday for lieutenant governor, a minor office there, and the most conservative candidates finished in the rear of the pack. Two liberals, a Democrat and a Republican, are in the Nov. 2 runoff.
