Pharmacist has fond memories

To the Editor: I have lived in El Dorado for the past 30 years and even though I was not born and raised here, I still call it home. A new and exciting opportunity has come my way and it is with a great deal of sadness I have to say good-bye. El Dorado is a very special town and has a lot to offer families. I would like to take this time to thank all those that I have had the pleasure to encounter.

My first employment at Gibson Pharmacy was in 1981. Thank you, Jim Bolding for a good start. In 1986, I left Gibson’s when my husband and I bought Hall Drug Co. from Mack and Virginia Hall. I will always treasure those memories. I loved the old soda fountain and being part of the downtown scene. I had such wonderful and loyal customers, I cannot even begin to thank everyone. I loved hearing the stories of my coffee groups (no matter how many times I may have heard them). So many employees came and went in those 19 years, many of whom I still have very close friendships.

Nina Sullivan, Wanda Hogue, Kari Carelock and Danna Purtle Smith, thank you so much! In 2005 I sold Hall Drug, with reluctance, to Fred’s Pharmacy.

I appreciate the opportunity to have worked for Fred’s and have enjoyed meeting and providing pharmacy services to my customers.

There are so many teachers, coaches, dance teachers, Camp Fire leaders that have been there for my two girls. Thanks to all for a tremendous job.

Thanks to everybody that has supported me and my family the last five years during the ordeal of my niece’s, Natalee Holloway, disappearance in Aruba. It has meant the world to me! Beth Robinson, your notes of encouragement were a source of inspiration. Carolyn and Aimie Albritton, thanks for being there for me from day one.

So, it is not good-bye El Dorado, it is until next time. Thanks for the memories.

Robin Reynolds El Dorado

Observe Joran’s behavior. He has become a master at setting the stage. This incident occurred just after Beth made her way into that prison and came face to face with him. Look for Joran to use the defense that he is mentally unstable because of the ‘years of harassment and the time he spent in an Aruban jail after Beth falsely accused him of harming her daughter’. Keep watching Joran’s behavior. Anything he does gets reported somewhere. He is always working the angles.
