The dems know one thing: attacking (personal attacks as opposed to military war winning strategy).
They wrote the book on it.
They are not a positive political party; they are divisive and destructive. That is all they know how to do. That is how they govern using a kind of scorched earth policy.
What was once a great political party is now nothing more than a communist front organization.
I wonder what Truman would say about all this.
That is certainly true -- and the Communists are coming out in the open now. At least until November.
But as for "back in the day" .... remember reading about "Pitchfork" Tillman? And how about the "Cross of Gold"? My own grandfather heard that speech as a young man.
Of course, on the other side there were "rum, ruin, and Romanism" and "a chicken in every pot" -- and a "kinder gentler conservatism" that turned out not to be conservative at all.
But so far, Jack Kennedy's "bear any burden" sounds the most hollow, given the 'Rats' "proclivities" since then, thanks to the Redrats.
