It's obvious that (A) The primaries are over and Sarah is helping Steele elect as many Republicans as they can and (B) she is setting herself up for a presidential run and she's going to need party backing.
You also conveniently ignore that the Bill Kristol-wing of the GOP is going to make a play for the RNC after the mid-terms to force Steele to resign and get one of their guys in to run the show, which means they'll rubberstamp another McCain to be the nominee and be Obama's sacrificial lamb.
At times, Steele has been off-message, but most importantly he has reunited the old 3-legged stool coalition for the Republican Party and has devastatingly picked apart Obama's agenda.
But again, back to Kristol: The Rockefeller neo-cons want power and they want Steele removed so they can get their time feeding at the trough. Sarah Palin is helping Steele to prevent this from happening.
So it's ridiculous for you guys to complain that Sarah is helping the RNC. If she wants to run for President, she's going to need some establishment backing. You can't win the WH as a pure outsider.
You have a vivid imagination, son.
First I fully support Palin working with the RNC and trying to get as many GOPers elected now in Nov, as possible. That is exactly what she should be doing, and is doing. More power to her.
But with your comments above, please explain? The way it reads to me is, POTUS Obama has won virtually every battle to in act his agenda since taking office. Now, the public may not like it (we don't), but the notion that the RNC has picked it apart I just don't see. Neither domestically or with NS policy overseas.
The only area where Obama has been defeated or forced into a position he did not want was via Gen. McCrystal. Though, that was only after the fact of Obama putting forth a plan in Stan that was less than what the General wanted. Gen. McCrystal then forced the issue via a third party (fell on the sword) but in that process has for a period of time now isolated the WH out of the war in Stan. Gen. Petraeus is now in a very powerful position with how Stan will move forward over the next 12 to 18 months. The WH can do very little to oppose him now.
????
Except Kristol is 100% behind Palin. In fact many speculated that it was he that recommended her to McCain. Back in July 2008 on FNSunday he predicted she would be the nominee .

Absolutely. Even Reagan had to play footsie with the Rockefeller-wing.
The scope and breadth of Palin's GOP influence, clout and yes, gravitas within two years has been nothing short of stunning.
