The latest tax increase was a result of old legislative trigger regarding low tax revenue.

But who cares anymore its a distraction from stopping radical Jerry Brown who that poster supports !

As I remember it from back then (I lived there then) Brown raised taxes and built up a huge budget surplus in Sacramento, this led to the Jarvis tax revolt. Brown was bad on so many levels as governor of CA I shudder at the thought of the state repeating history.
