SPOKANE -- A brouhaha is brewing over I Heart Boobies bracelets at Riverside High School after the principal suspended 9 students who wore them to school and refused to take them off.
The bracelets are sold by a non-profit and are designed to raise awareness and money to fight breast cancer. Unfortunately at Riverside High School they raised a little too much awareness for school administrators.
"I think its ridiculous that they would suspend us for wearing something for a good cause that says boobies," Riverside student Dakota Jewell said.

This is ridiculous. With a dropout rate or 30% the principal wants to focus on this nonsense. Every day more and more students will wear this bracelet and get suspended! Its going to snowball from here and I hope the story goes national...

I believe that it’s customary to not allow students to wear suggestive messages. This is probably a GOOD idea.
This pushes the envelope, and the principal had to make a determination.

So what if a kid shows up, claiming to be fighting cervical cancer, with a band that says “I love pu**y”?

The principal hates wildlife, birds in particular?

Well, I would say that that word crosses the line. I do not think the word boobie is bad. Perhaps juvenile, but not bad.

I think people these days now go out of their way to be offended. It is not secret that women have breasts. If the kids are doing something good, then why make a big deal over it?
Americans need to stop be hypocritical over sex.

I was deeply offended by you promotion of Christianity in
your post. This is hardly a forum where you can openly use the word “crosses” which is an obvious reference to Jesus.
Is this how it works?
