I am so glad Larry is back on the air!! I’ve been worried about him. It’s too bad he is on opposite Rush though.

I thought it would be a toss-up for me, as I love Rush, but I identify with Larry a little better. Plus, Larry doesn't have the habit of going off on tangents, like pretty much every other host I can think of. The clincher ... well, two clinchers ... that have me opting for Larry over Rush:

1. He's So Cal local, grew up here, and very much into local and state politics. He's a reason to love So Cal, and I dearly love So Cal. It's an acquired taste, but I have fallen in love with Los Angeles & the whole region.

2. Connected to the first -- Larry's callers, regular local working folks like me, of all incomes, accents, colors, just trying to enjoy life and do right. The one kind of caller missing, and it's okay by me: elites. Absent. Listening to Larry's callers is tells me that it's better out there than I might be tempted to think if I didn't know they were there. It's uniting. It's a great. And I guess because I'm such a sexist, I love the fact that most of them are men, unusual in conservative radio talk show calls.

The only other So Cal host I like as much as Elder, and whose callers are always fun to hear, is Tim Conway Jr., though Tim is NO political brain like Larry. But Tim is just plain fun and refreshing.
