It's Now or Never: Good Candidates Need Our Support
Carol Brown
Among conservatives who are running for Congress, there are some truly great ones running in very tight races that lean Democrat. Some have been written about on these pages - such as Allen West and Ilario Pantano. Here are a few more outstanding candidates who have a deep understanding of domestic and foreign policy issues.
Let's win the House (at the very least) and make sure these folks are sworn in because they will be strong voices that are desperately needed.
He was raised in Oklahoma by a single mother who taught him the importance of hard work, honesty and self reliance. He went to work at the age of 14 to help her pay the bills at home. It was the height of the Cold War, and Patrick followed world events closely. He developed a strong sense of patriotism and love of country as he watched the United States confront an oppressive Soviet Union around the world. He put himself through college with a combination of working part time, student loans and a stipend from the Veterans Administration owing to his father's WW II service.
He is now a retired U.S. Army Colonel with 24-years of active service. Patrick spent over a decade in numerous postings abroad, including tours in Iraq, Kosovo, Bosnia, Serbia and Russia. Serving around the World afforded him an up-close perspective of what it is like to live in places that do not enjoy the blessings of liberty.
His "Issues" page is impressive (
http://murrayforcongress.com/issues/). He presents a detailed overview of his positions on numerous critical issues we face, including specific solutions. Few candidates appear to have such a solid grasp of the issues as this. Please take a few minutes to check out the candidate and give him your support. He has served this great nation and now he needs our help to make sure a strong voice like his will be in Congress come January of next year.
Todd Lally (
http://lallyforcongress.com/) is another strong candidate. He's running in Kentucky's 3
rd district. Here are some highlights on his background
Having served in the military for 22 years, he is a veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. He is a aduate of the Academy of Military Science and the Advanced Airlift Tactics Training Center and the Air-Operations Officer for the 123rd Contingency Response Group, a rapidly deployable force that can open and conduct airlift missions out of remote or damaged airfields. This group is the first Air Force personnel to arrive at a location to survey the airfield and perform combat or humanitarian operations. Lally is the recipient of two Air Medals. The first medal was for flying 50 missions into war torn Bosnia supplying the civilian population with food and medicine. The second medal was for saving a Seattle man's life in the Atlantic Ocean. He also is a crash investigator for the U.S. Air Force. For the last four years he has been the "Voice of Thunder over Louisville" providing live commentary for Cox Radio. He also served as the past Vice-President of the National Guard Association of Kentucky.
It's now or never. These candidates need our support today. Please consider making a small (or large) sacrifice to send money to them to make sure they beat their liberal opponent. We need strong voices in Congress who understand that this election is not just about taxes and health care, it is about national security.

We have three good chances for pickups in Michigan of all places. We're not that blue outside of the big cities here.
1st District - Bart Stupak stepped down. Dr. Dan Benishek is running for the open district. TV and radio airtime is cheap here and many stations are simulcast. Mailings are not cheap. This is a rural district that is about 50/50. Dan Benishek for Congress
7th District - This is my home. Tim Walberg is a good man and a true conservative. Everybody talks about wanting to support a true conservative. Here's our chance to do so. He's proven himself as a state rep. He ran against a RINO and won in the primary and won the general in 2006. He lost by 2% in the 2008 Obama landslide only after the NRCC abandoned him when he voted against the bailouts. Tim's back and has a good shot to win now that Marky Mark's record is exposed. Tim has my vote.
9th District - Rocky Raczkowski is running against lapdog Gary Peters over in Oakland County. Rocky served his country overseas and was a good state rep before that. That seat used to be Joe Knollenberg's until 2008.

Thank you very much! I hope others will add to this thread.
$25 to worthy candidates helps a lot. I put aside money just for this purpose.

God bless you, dear cherry! LOL. I pretty much spread out my donations in September, and I really wanted to donate last night for the end of the 3rd quarter, but I knew I couldn’t for this billing period...lol. Well, it’s a whole new month now....ROFL.
Darren McCarty, cherry asks “did that dope in Michigan back out of the election and give Benishek his endorsement?”

Glenn Wilson? I haven’t heard anything from him. 3rd party candidates always poll well, then fade election time. I’m not that concerned about him.

Comments from Victor Davis Hanson on Chris:
I dont get involved in the particulars of promoting political candidates.....but in New Yorks 20th Congressional District this year one of the rarest individuals I have ever met.....if we are going to save the country, we need leaders like Gibson

Did you see him on with Cavuto this afternoon?
Neil was rough with him, (thankfully).
Cohen was his normal “smug and rude” self.

You betcha! Good man. I sure hope he wins.
Everyone should vote like Rush says:
Don’t vote for anybody with a “D” next to their name.
