He’s not really a Republican that was just the affiliation he used because the other party primary was so crowded.

Bloomberg officially and publicly announced that he has LEFT the GOP over a year ago. He is not an independent.

He has no party loyalties really... he used to be a Democrat.

I believe he's been an Independent since 2007.
