speaking of Mcdonalds and also BK...they have downsized on their value meal nicely and now we find that we don’t need the big burgers....so maybe its a good thing...
I’m a fat slob, but rather than eating 3 large meals a day I eat about 8 little ones. Whopper Jr. Meals, or kids’ Happy Meals, were always plenty to fill me; it is amazing how expensive some of the traditional things have gotten (Big Mac or Whopper meal, unless you want infant-sized fries & drink). Dollar menus are great; I’ve gotten a Whopper Jr., small onion rings, and small soda at BK for $3.21 (the $.21 being tax). On the other hand, I can eat in the company cafeteria, spending $7 on a soda, a crappy sandwich that will give you the runs, and potato chips that have been exposed to the air for a week...
The breakfast menu battle is great; sausage biscuits (just sausage & a biscuit) are $1 in both places.
You really see the difference when you buy Halloween candy; a bag of not-so-many little bars costs you what a bag of the full-size bars did not so long ago...
