She talks about the attacks on Christine O'Donnell, the Senate race in Alaska, the unmasking of Lisa Murkowski, the importance of electing conservative Republicans, and whether or not we should enact Congressional term limits which she said it's time might have come.

The Senate needs term limits - BIG TIME. So does the House. Go for it now Sarah cause the public will back it.

Actually, we all are. It’s just that most politicians don’t seem to think so.

She was asked from Sean what was her feelings about Term limits and she said that last night see was thinking heavily about it to be exact and that it was possibly time for the country to institute it, she said that she has never been as close to saying it’s time has come as now...she said that at first she didn’t want it because she wanted to keep Jim Demint types in office as long as possible but now she thinks all of them in the House and Senate might need it.

We should get back to the States congresses appointing their federal senate representatives, there is more accountability in that rule than with a popular vote.

I was unaware that she was in charge of such things. Maybe she thinks half a term is enough for everyone.

I support term limits iff it includes their staffers also. Elsewise they will acquire ginormous power as they move from office to office. And, while we’re at it, if we reform tax laws we can begin to diminish the influence of lobbyists, imnsho.

If we can’t do away with the 17th amendment then term limits is the next best thing available...it a “poor mans” version of abolishing the 17th amendment in a way.
To: Bigtigermike
Term limits are good for getting rid of the bad. Not so good for the ones who actually serve people well.
It would be better if people would pay attention to the people they elect and get rid of them if they quit being a representative of the the people who elect them.

How can she go for it now? She isn’t in office anywhere. You need to watch more TV. LOL

We have it for Prsident but Congress can do more harm than a President, all things being equal. I know good men and women might not be there for long but being a politician were never meant to be a long career as it is considered now and days

You are an idiot. She may create a groundswell of support for the next Congress. She knows people are enraged at Congress.

One thing that concerns me about term limits is the harm that can be done by politicians who don't have to worry at all about being reelected. They have a set amount of time to “serve”, then they are out of office whether they do a good job or not. Thus they are free to push their agenda and inflict damage on our country. Right now it appears to me that Obama does not care about being reelected. He constantly rules against the will of the people. But he doesn't care. He is getting his agenda shoved through. Having an entire Congress with politicians who have nothing to lose does not sound like a good plan to me.
