Exactly. I had a lib friend who said,
“The Brits don’t react like us. They don’t let it interfere with their lives.”
The answer I gave was pretty straightforward. “I wonder how they manage that? I think if a train blew up here and killed me, my family, or my countrymen, and interfered with our very way of existence, it would interfere with my life.”
The IRA bombed the Brits for decades. After a while I guess they did just keep on keeping on.
That was their attitude during the blitz too.
