Great story and a big fish. Makes the Petrale Sole we had for dinner look like a minnow. The Bandit Rig sounds a little like the Salmon gurdys they use here except the gurdys are hydraulic powered.
Have seen old pictures of these that supposedly were two to three times this big. Of course, they were old pics.
It’s good to see the big ones still show up now and again.
