If you don't think there was less sex when dorms were segregated by the sexes, had dorm mothers, sex outside of marriage was not socially acceptable, homosexuality was not pushed as normal and natural, and abortions were illegal, then you need to do an upgrade to your cognitive reasoning ability.
It was not the norm. Society is descending on moral issues and not evolving upward.
