The lesson here is clear: Always check around for a web cam before making out with another dude.
I would love to see these two rich brat punks get sent away for twenty years.
It will never happen, though. New Jersey is not a state known for dishing out justice.
This is so very sad. A young man, probably not out to his family, engaging in a furtive encounter with another man, is FILMED and watched live? The poor guy and now his poor family!!
I hope those two DO get some kind of punishment that stings.
Even a guy with a girl — that would be horrible too. And a straight guy might be moved to do something rash if the girl were, say, married, or a professor, or something. It’s just wrong.

These two idiots should be forced to explain their acts to this kids parents face to face. Lets see how funny it is than!
I believe Jesus would have looked upon this young man with compassion, love and mercy.. and looked upon his suicide with pain. The Pharisees would have looked upon him with self-righteous judgement.
-——Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. “But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance” (Matthew 9:10-13 NKJV).
I know you’re all pro-homo and stuff, but if the guy was having gay sex in my dorm room, I would want to at least embarrass him into not doing it. So if he kills himself, is that my fault?
If only homosexual sex was valued by society this could have been prevented?

My initial reaction was the same as yours: They should be charged with manslaughter. The other comments here do make a point: This was a dorm room, and the roommate had rights to it, too.
However, this case sounds similar to another one: There was a case where a man and woman shared a house, and he was arrested when she found out he had been videotaping her secretly.
If Mr. Ravi really wanted his roommate to stop engaging in this behavior in their room, he should’ve confronted him directly and maybe filed a complaint. Instead, he decided to videotape the man secretly and upload it to the internet for all to see.
Ironically, by committing suicide, this young man drew even more attention to something he obviously wanted to keep private. Very sad for his family. Imagine all of his parents’ hopes and dreams for him, and it all ending this way.
