A powerful computer virus is attacking Iran's nuclear program, and experts suggest that the secondary effects of the cyber attack may in fact be more damaging than the infection itself...

Congrats to NSA, CIA, Mossad, and/or anyone else participating in this virtual surprise.
“...planting a seed of paranoia among the managers and bosses, and everybody in the workplace becomes scrutinized as a potential leak.”
True, great secondary explosion.
A pox upon German-manufactured Siemens software systems.
If the CIA did it, they did it without BHO’s consent. It sure seems like Israel to me.
If so, well done.

Iran has to clean its cookies.
“the worm most likely originated from an organization with vast resources, such as a national intelligence agency.
I keep hearing that, but I don’t necessarily buy it.
There are tons of viruses floating around, and new ones are written every day. And some of them are pretty “good”.
It doesn’t take a huge crew and tons of money.
Also, they presume that it got in on a thumb drive.
Maybe, and maybe not.
Their network certainly ~should~ have been isolated from the internet, but show me a large system with no holes.
All it takes is a worker who wants to surf the web. He gets a 3g card and dual homes his laptop, and we’re off!
Mahmoud; “Sir, the control rods are being extracted by themselves!!! I cannot control them!!!!.......(sizzle)

When they go to update their Norton and the entire system locks up tighter than Wrigley Field in January
I wonder if this was fed into their system the same way that the spiked software for gas transmission pipelines was fed to the Soviets. The Iranians have a history of “borrowing” technology, wouldn’t have been too difficult to “doctor” some software they were “ borrowing”

Or a geeky 15 year old in Teheran who was angry that the Mullahs were blocking his access to the SI Swimsuit Issue online archives...
And restart the computer.
Maybe they are just using Vista.
I wondered why AhmaDemiGod came out a few days ago and said he would be willing to talk about not enriching anymore Uranium. Then this story broke.
Or perhaps even domestic Iranian "Green" members who hate the Mahdi-infatuated, family-murdering regime more than we do.
At any rate, dittos!

Has anyone seen any legit confirmation that Stuxnet was in fact targeting anything in Iran or are we are we all being fed a line of wishful BS?
All I see is confirmation the worm exists, that it’s incredibly complex and targets a specific type of PLC system and then conjecture that “perhaps” it’s designed to attack Iran’s power plants... that last bit seemingly unconfirmed and wistful
From what I’ve read regarding some of the post mortem on this virus, this is beyond the capability of the average or above average boomer.......
There are several great technical articles on the web regarding the virus, general consensus from the experts is that this virus is of such technical competence that without state sponsored support, an independant programmer could not have set this up.
Coupled with the very specific targeted system and country, you could reach that conclusion independently....
