Jerry Brown.
Meg Whitman was too canned and promised too much.I am still waiting to see a sign that Whitman understands the issues a layer deeper than her consultant-driven talking points. And when you try to add up her promises, well, they don't add up.
I want a governor who will tell voters what they don't want to hear.

So what ~ if you have Brown back in charge he'll teach your children to smoke, drain your swimming pools, give your garages to Arizona Mexicans, and otherwise do dumb things, stupid stuff, and become a national embarrassment to everyone. It's your chance to dump the idiots.
California is lost, my friend.
Short of spiritual revival, this state is not coming back.
It would be best to let it burn to the ground to wake people up. Something similiar to what has happened at the national level.
The majority of voters in this state are comprised of either Marxists, people with their hands-out, Illegal Aliens, or just plain stupid people.
Like I said, either a spirital revival is needed, or the state needs to burn to the ground, then, and only then, will enough of the voters wake up and start voting responsibly.
Meg Whitman is the worst of all politicians. She has no core convictions or principles except her own wallet. She is a greedy Republican and will say anything to get elected as she has already proven.
Given our history with her in the current primary process, what leads you to believe she will govern from a principled position?
She will destroy what's left of the GOP.
Better to have the correct party get the blame for their bad governance and what it has done to my state.

I think the debate isnt going to matter. I fear prop 19 turnout will scuttle both Whitman and Fiorina, The one year we had a chance to get rid of Boxer and libs will likely show up to vote to get stoned legally.
You've made a great point!

So...simple....man you are slow! Several reasons:
SEIU is the biggest union in CA. As much money as they contribute to democrats, there is no way in hell rats will let CA sink before the country
Majority of state legislators in CA by far are democrats.
If you think Obama will abandon them, I have a bridge to sell you.
Obama has the printing press. CA will not die until paper runs out.
CA is deep blue state. Only reason scumbag Boxer will win.
Democrats never abandon fellow politicians.

well . the only way to stop the dem controlled state house is to veto and play hardball.
You're dreaming if you think Meg "Finger-in-the-wind" Whitman is going to do that.
She has vacilated and changed her position on several high-profile issues dependent on where she was in the primary process and who she was talking to.
She makes Arnold look absolutely ramrod straight in the department of fidelity to her positions on the issues.

So the Chronicle thought Moonbeam won . I am shocked . Out of saters who hate cali , I'm shocked . Wing-nuts who hate whitman , I'm shocked . People who are stupid enough to think and SF old news outlets employ a Conservative , not surprised . Enough with the geezers . Fllacid old men who never held a job and don.t know when to quit are tiresome .
Nice job of false-labeling there guy!
So you think that voting for a candidate who supports taxpayer funded abortions is ok?

Odd, How you jump around smearing all the repubs candidates but never post a negative point about Obama or Brown or Pelosi.
You fool no one by snotty comments and tiresome cheap shots that miss.
Hold on , I just saw someone post something positive about Meg.
You better get over there attack and maybe include a edited quote from their post and don't forget to include the "rhino " line.

There are more than 2:
3) Noobs who try to paint people into little boxes if they don't toe the party line.
4) Campaign hacks whose heads explode when anything negative about their candidate is posted
5) Concerned Californians who feel they have no good choices in this election
6)...
Actually, you missed one:
6.) Rational, principled conservatives that won't be fooled anymore by the GOP's "My candidates not as bad as the other candidate" lying line.

You fool no one by snotty comments and tiresome cheap shots that miss.
Same tired, mis-direction posted by GOP hacks whenever the truth is posted about their left-of-center worthless candidates.

Where has Mimi Walters been? She seems to be running a stealth campaign.
And the PTB never seem to mention her when they list their favored candidates. Is she being hung out to dry?
Just wondering.

I don't know. I think she's being buried.....as are all CA conservatives. I never see or hear anything about her!
What do you know of Karen Englund? Son told me about her when I talked to him about Maldonado. Said she's doing write in? (I think)

Dude! Check a mirror! Sheesh!
Now, I can't help it if you get your panties in a bunch when people point out that McCain and Schwarzenegger are scumbags. Perhaps professional help is in order?

Thanks for the support. I think you have outlined my thoughts in a more organized, meaningful and informative manner than I.

To: NVDave
How much you wanna bet CA will still be standing in 2012?

“If the voters vote either Whitman or Brown in, they deserve what’s coming to them.”
Americans voted Obama in, so Americans like yourself deserve Obama?
To: SmithL; ExTexasRedhead
Darn, I missed the debate! Will there be another one between Brown and Whitman?
