Another approach would be to go on the offensive against the “journalist” that is prejudiced e.g. AmanPOOR’s questioning of McConnell (or was it Boehner). example:
“I notice that you seem to have a certain antagonistic tone toward the views of our party that I have not noticed in your questioning of ———. That approach enforces the belief of a majority of the American people that much of the media, your network included, is in bed with the Democrats.
