I think Fox is part of that tradition — it is part of the tradition that has a very clear, undeniable point of view. It's a point of view that I disagree with. It's a point of view that I think is ultimately destructive for the long-term growth of a country that has a vibrant middle class and is competitive in the world. But as an economic enterprise, it's been wildly successful. And I suspect that if you ask Mr. Murdoch what his number-one concern is, it's that Fox is very successful.

I can’t find the quote, but Hillary Clinton complained that, now that there is Fox News, we can’t get our message out. Sort of uncovers what the left thinks about communications in general. Logically if there is one MORE outlet of information information flow would increase not decrease.

Hey, Obama, FOX is “wildly successful” because millions of Americans CHOOSE to watch it. That is all.
Essentially, POTUS is (once again) calling all those Americans — those who have decided, using their own minds and will, that FOX is a worthy source of information and analysis — stupid.
There are a huge number of issues that Obama can be attacked on. Disagreeing with Fox News, while defending their right to be partisan, doesn't seem to be an issue worth fighting over and to do so seems quite petty.
It is eating him up that Fox News is not getting in line with all the other left wing MSM channels.

This old man just wants to shake his hand! Of course I would insist on wearing a hospital glove for sanitary protection but I think when I gave him his hand back he would need to go straight to the emergency room. He appears to have the hands of a teenage girl, a modern teenage girl, that is. When my mother was sixteen she could have kicked his behind all over the school yard.
Obama needs to raid Michelle’s underwear drawer and get himself a pair of big girl panties.
What is frightening about this is that Obama & his thugs are losing power/control and they are desperate. They have already demonstrated they don’t respect the Constitution or the rule of law .... I’m thinking at some point, he’s going to try to shut down his opposition by whatever means necessary. Think I’m being paranoid? You nailed it. He is not an American, but, an anti-American marxist pig with leanings toward the muslim view. He also has a deeps-seated, but well concealed hatred of whites. Because Obama will not change. He will not learn from his mistakes. He will not grow and mature from on-the-job experience. In fact, over time, Obama will likely become a more ferocious version of who he is today.
Why? Because this is a damaged person. Obama’s fate was sealed years ago growing up in his strange and poisonous family. Later on, his empty vessel was filled with the hateful bile of men like Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers.
Obama will not evolve; he will not rise to the occasion; he will not become the man he was meant to be. This is for one reason and one reason alone:
He is not capable of it.

Apparently Obama’s golden age of “objective” media was that all-too-brief time period that was post-Hearst but pre-Internet/pre-conservative-talk-radio. You know, that golden age when all media voices exclusively chorused, chirruped and hammered the drumbeat of leftist propaganda. That golden age. That’s the one Obama, must be referring to, right?

Well, Obama, here’s my point of view about you and the middle-class. (Fortunately, because the “golden age” of journalism is past us, my opinion can be heard and not just yours.)
To wit:
It has become evident to me (and I assume a few others by now) that the Obammunists are waging class warfare against the middle-class. Obama’s policies are designed to simultaneously decimate the middle-class and transfer their savings to the poor, to union members and to government employees. Yet, the very wealthy and the ultra-wealthy are being left untouched. I suppose the wealthy are either complicit or considered untouchable due their power. In any case, it’s evident that Obama has a special loathing for the middle-class.
The Obammunists are in the process of destroying all middle-class jobs that are not union or government jobs. These policies have been deliberate, and they have been wildly successful, with a net 2.3 million jobs destroyed since February 2009, which is the worse jobs destruction ever for any president in their first 17 months in office. The national U6 (true) unemployment rate currently stands at over 16%, with four states over 20% unemployment!
Here’s a partial list of deliberately destroyed jobs. Downsizing the military and closing military bases is killing tens of thousands of well-paying civilian jobs. Ordering a “temporary” moratorium on Gulf oil drilling? An immediate 40,000 gulf state jobs lost, with as many as 400,000 total jobs eventually lost. Obamacare? If left as is, this could destroy millions of jobs both in the medical industry and in those companies no longer able to employee as many workers due to the tax increases and insurance mandates of Obamacare. Obama carbon control implemented by fiat via EPA regulation? Why, more millions of manufacturing jobs likely to be sent permanently overseas. Or, how about government ownership of car companies in order to develop “green” Obamamobiles subsidized by middle-class tax payers, but only affordable as toys by the upper-class, you know, like Government Motors’ Voltswagen. And Obama’s implicit open borders policies? What do you think an unlimited supply of illegal foreign labor willing to work for almost nothing is doing to wage levels for U.S. citizens?
The list just goes on and on, and I haven’t even touched on the massive jobs destruction soon to be upon us as the Obammunists’ massive tax increases kick in. You know, like the nearly 60% rate increase on capital gains taxes and the nearly 300% rate increase on dividend taxes when you include the new 3.8% Obamacare tax surcharge levied on all non-wage income and the expiring Bush tax cuts. (BTW, that 3.8% surcharge applies to profits on personal home sales too! Hope you weren’t foolish enough to quit documenting your capital improvements, thinking it didn’t matter anymore since profits from home sales were mostly tax free.)
Now, on the other side of the slate, the Obammunists have funneled literally trillions of borrowed dollars into growing the government and union worker class and making vast numbers of the poor permanent wards of the state. Currently, one of out of every seven persons employed in the U.S. is employed directly by the government, and government employees make on average 45% more than private sector employees. But when the bill comes due for the borrowed trillions, either tax rates will have to be raised to crushing levels on what’s left of the middle-class and/or inflation will be deliberately promoted to ease government debt repayment, thereby wiping out the remaining savings of the middle-class. Inflation and taxation of course are the classic means for wiping out the middle-class, and were perfectly described by Vladimir Lenin, who said “The surest way to crush the bourgeois is between the grindstones of taxes and inflation.”
The Obammunists’ class warfare is intended to result in a nation with an elite, ultra-wealthy ruling class, with the rest of its citizens being wards of the state, dependent on government handouts of one kind or the other, and therefore for all practical purposes, reduced to subjects of the state.
Thus the United States will be reduced by Obama’s class warfare to one of the kinds of nations that have always existed in the past and which continue to make up the bulk of nations today: nations with a small despotic ruling elite who rule masses of peasants with fear and naked power. After just a little over two centuries of being a mighty world power and a shinning beacon of aspiration to the downtrodden of the world, the Obammunists will have wiped out in a single generation what our founding fathers hoped would be a new kind of enduring nation dedicated to freedom from tyranny and the pursuit of happiness.
Bottom line? If you’re happy with all of this, I urge to keep voting for the same folks currently in power who are doing all of this to you!
I hear you. He may be a once in a lifetime or more president. We were lucky to have him.
