I don’t see how you miss the contradiction. By the definition you posted he isn’t wise by belonging to a group (Democrats) that denies there is a war on terror, refuses to fight the war on terror, and when engaged in an actual war with the terrorists do everything in their power to cripple that fight (vote against surge, set timetables for withdrawal, politicize the war instead of trying to win, avoiding winning at all costs, etc.).

Plus, the Rabbi then proudly belongs to a legal group that aids terrorists and seeks through lawfare to hinder the fight against the very people he proclaims are coming (Close Gitmo, attempt to shut down military tribunals).

How does that fit the definition: “Wise: Having the power of discerning and judging properly as to what is true or right.”

My original post stands. He is smart enough. He can’t say “I didn’t know.” anymore than his example of the Germans in his article. You say he recognizes the danger and then can’t see the contradiction to belonging to appeasers and traitors that aid the danger. You have a different idea of wisdom then either I or the definition state.

Unfortunately, it is almost impossible for most Jews to give up the communitarian dream that they, very mistakenly, believe is (still) the guiding political philosophy of the Democrat party. For many Jews, the Democrat party is still the party of FDR, Truman and Kennedy. Why is this so? Because Jews want to believe that most people love life and are basically good; it is just the cruelty of fortune, the impersonal marketplace and evil men that cause misery. It is a delusion that has almost caused the Jews to be wiped from the face of the Earth. But it has such a powerful hold on the Jewish mind, that giving it up would be to deny their heritage. Even this rabbi cannot bring himself to condemn Islam as the totalitarian belief system it is.

Your argument is, in essence, that the messenger is more important than the message.

You do not argue about the validity of the article, but solely restrict your opposition to the faults of the person delivering it.

And that is wrong on all accounts.
