Of all the dumb things the UN has done this HAS to be the dumbest.

Lets say that there are aliens out there that could actualy reach us meaning they have achieved intergalactic travel. What interest would they have in us? We can't travel to another planet let alone another galaxy. If they are out there they ain't coming here.

I’d expect them to be very interested in us. Technology implies curiosity.

The question is if they’d communicate with us, or just observe.
