Imho, Ann was unwittingly used by GOProud. She thought that she could handle this speaking engagement without damage, but she misjudged the situation and their agenda.
She was used. We saw it coming. There were even articles at the time that talked about her appearance lending homosexuals credibility. And we were being MEAN! *eyes rolling*
That's because she's not nearly as intelligent as she portrays herself to be.
Sure her books decent, but we have no way of knowing how much support staff she has doing the hard work.
And her TV appearances are always "entertaining," but that's because she KNOWS what to expect. She knows if she's being interviewed but anyone other than Hannity and a few others that she is among hostile people and she answers their questions to shock them. The same happens when she speaks at liberal colleges.
However, GOProud wasn't hostile to her, they told her how much they agree with her and she bought it.
