Morning AB, All

As always, thank you for doing thread, enjoy the camping, don't do anything I wouldn't do.

So yeah, I like the new pledge for America. Well yeah, it's practically a tome when a few bullets would have done but hey, they're committing to something and in the future, feet can be held to the fire.

Some quick O'Donnell news-this past Weds. I attended the Sussex County Republic Women's Club's monthly luncheon. ALL of the candidates were there. Below, a few pics.

It was a hoot, packed with the press.

As I understand it Christine has hired some expert politcal operatives cause come on folks, at this luncheon she had her sister, a woman weighs 90 pounds soaking wet, trying to herd the press away from Christine. I, who weigh a bit more than 80 pounds, had to go over and help force back CNN, AP...the local yokels. And these guys don't carry little cameras like yours truly. They have great big huge boom things and they want to walk around that crowded luncheon room with servers trying to dish up meals and dear Lord...

Finally one CNN guy holds up the microphone to my face, asks my name, and says he has lots of footage with me in it...so he needs my name.

Heh.

What's happening now, and it's confusing as hell, is the local volunteer folk still want to run phone banks, do lit drops, ...that sort of thing. I myself was in on a conference call this past Friday night and nice folks, very nice folks, yon readers, but I'm not sure they get it.

I, as you'll likely not believe, was at a loss for words.

Hey, O'Donnell's got almost 3 million dollars! She needs experts to do this thing. Instead I hear "We're going to go around John Doe..." John Doe being a local campaign guru hired as the Sussex County Field Coordinator.

Now you can take what I know about campaigns and shove it up the behind of a flea, but I do know the English language and it seems to me that someone called a "field coordinator" would be the guy organizing things in, the...heh, FIELD!

I don't know how to hold up my hand to halt over a conference line and I didn't want to scream at these guys over the phone waves but come on....they can't just "go around" people appointed to do stuff...

Oh well....they want me to be the scribe, of sorts. I ain't writing a word until I hear from one of the duly appointed officials.

It's just a transition thing, I imagine, and I suppose it happens in all campaigns. But guys we got an entrenched group of O'Donnell devotees who might serious mess things up.

Liberal mother-in-law from Massachusetts visited last weekend. I vowed no political talk cause, just as a tease, this woman spent 8 days with me when husband was very sick and she was devoted to Barack Obama. She also loved Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow and Keith Olberman.

Got some tales of rue by an Obama voter who thought, oncit, that he was such a nice, clean young black man.

And I got to tell the story of the Choir Director, a saga that goes on, is sadder than sad, and has all kinds of tentacles in the Christine O'Donnell saga....cause when you live in a berg folks, you live in a berg.

Also will watch the Sunday talk shows cause couldn't last week with MIL. I was really a good doobie, yes I was, God loves me.

;)

Yesterday on Fox news Watch, Cal Thomas made a comment that your candidate should come out on Halloween weekend in a witch costume, make a little joke of the whole thing, and steer the discussion back to issues, such as spending, taxes, etc. I don't know if that makes sense to the campaign, but good luck with it either way.

I do think it is important to get the discussion back to the alternative between a Bearded Marxist and a normal person who wants to not bankrupt the country. And, it's real important to not let the media define the candidate.

Maybe a spoof commercial; have the candidate on stage, pour a bucket of water on her, she doesn't melt, and then her comment is, "Let's see Nancy Pelosi siurvive that! Now, can we get back to the issues that grownups want to discuss?"

“As I understand it Christine has hired some expert politcal operatives”

Hoosiermama posted the following (there’s more discussion on that thread about the operatives):

Jack St. Martin, a former Republican National Committee staffer who also worked for Ralph Reed’s Christian Coalition, has been hired as O’Donnell’s field coordinator. Fred Davis of Strategic Perceptions Inc., a California ad firm that has worked with several GOP candidates, has been hired as O’Donnell’s media coordinator.

Meanwhile, Katy French, chief speechwriter for RNC chairman Michael Steele, is on loan to help with O’Donnell’s campaign communications.

I wrote on this thread oncit the story of how my husband, NOT a Catholic, attended a party for a departing co-choir member who was leaving to become a priest.

So husband, heh, now knows all the players in this saga. Because when push comes to shove, Sussex County is a great berg and everyone is three degrees removed from everyone else. I do love it here and don’t forget, Sussex county brought Christine O’Donnell to the world.

Monday before last, husband bolts inside door...”Pat,” he says in loud, very serious whisper. “There’s an arrest warrant out on Todd Benner.”

I’ll use his name because a local yokel radio station, and yes I know all the players in THAT part of the story, done eviscerated the man for two straight days, every hour on the hour.

Again, husband met Todd, the choir director of my church, a choir in which I sing, at that recent party. Husband also met Father Jim...too a player in this story.

My hand flies to mouth. Goodness, Todd is the quietest, sweetest fellow on the planet. Why would a warrant be out on him? “I don’t know,” husband responds, but it’s all over WGMD.”

Of course I turn on WGMD, a local yokel talk radio station, very conservative, managed by one Dan Gaffney, the same guy who conducted that awful offensive interview of Christine O’Donnell, the same guy who later came on the likes of Chris Matthews to discuss his famed interview. The same guy who went on Nancy Grace to discuss the local pervert pediatrician being prosecuted by Beau Biden.

The same guy who forced me to change my email addy but I’ve got EVERY EMAIL SAVED...yes I do....cause this guy is weird....WEIRD.

Everyone in Sussex County is three degrees removed from everybody else and so it goes.

Every hour on the hour, for two straight days, the beginning of every newscast on WGMD would begin...”Police are looking for Todd Benner, Choir Director of St. Jude the Apostle church in Lewes. State police went to the church on Sunday before teh 8:30 mass and Benner had already “escaped” “....yes, once they used the word ESCAPED.

“Father James Hrhea had no comment when contacted by WGMD and we are waiting for a response by the Wilmington Diocese.”

Of course I must investigate, requiring phone calls and such as you might imagine.

Get this. Turns out Todd has two outstanding bench warrants from 2006...for bounced checks and, I’m not making this up...”unleashed dog.”

Two full days of this and anybody reading this thinks that this station would have been broadcasting MY name every hour for two straight days, I gotta bridge to sell you, cheap.

Then I am not the Music Director at a Catholic church, am I?

I’m quite sure that Mr. Gaffney, who I know way too well and wish I didn’t, was hoping that Todd’s crime was some kind of molestation of little boys and I’m also sure that this very ambitious fellow who conducted a blistering and horrific interview with Christine O’Donnell for no reason other than to get his face in the national media sun, was hoping to get the fame that so tantalyzes him.

Meanwhile, our church has been turned upside down as yon reader might imagine. We’ll survive.

Todd was not at the church that 8:30 in the am on a Sunday morning, not because he escaped, but because he..well he just wasn’t there. Father Jim has not fired Todd but he is on paid administrative leave pending resolution of this case. Todd did go and turn himself in and he did have two bad checks out there...again from 2006, and at one time he did, under penalty of death, leave his dog unleashed.

A man’s job almost lost, maybe will be lost though Father Jim’s not buckling to pressure. The Wilmington Diocese? Who knows. I suspect they think it’s what it is...a big hoo-ha.

In fact, it was a PARISHIONER, a parishioner with a beef against Father Jim, who knew about these outstanding bench warrants, who tipped the state police off that Todd was scheduled to play the organ at the 8:30 am mass.

Small potatoes, folks. But a Perfect Storm, with Sussex County all in the national news because of the O’Donnell thing, with Dan Gaffney...guy looks just like Dagwood Bumstead with about a hundred kids....and I GOT EVERY EMAIL SAVED and my husband knows the story of me and Dan Gaffney. So this Manager of WGMD wants to be catapaulted to big time and he has no qualms about helping that national fame along, to include practically ruining a poor fellow’s life and unfairly interviewing a candidate beloved by WEMD’s viewership.

The church hired a substitute choir director and we sang proudly and tall at yesterday’s 4:30 mass. Best way we can help Todd get through this is to soldier on until he can come back.

Meanwhile, Dan Gaffney still has his job...the pervert. Remember, I STILL have every stalking email. Don’t forget that.

Thanks for your Patriotism. Just like prior wars, some folks will never get they recognition they deserve, and you taking on liberal media like CNN, is one great moment!

American folks with common sense spoke up during the primaries instead of letting the elite class get nominated. Democrats, RINO’s and the media aren’t so sure of themselves, that’s good.

Way to go fish you are now officially a Conservative rock star from the swamps of Delaware!!.Keep up the great work.!!

.....................................................

Meanwhile over on ABC Christian ahmmm.. sooo poorrrr takes on Axlerod before he leaves the sinking ship. No changes from his other old astroturfing. Just more o f the same old tired chatting points and mis-speaks,delusions lies. Here's a brief summary of his rant.

1."It's all Bush's fault that we are where we are here" says the bent axel as Christianne ask why things are so bad. Axel says it happened over ten years---all Bush's fault a fav with the spinners.

2. In the same vein the old sage slogan, these guys never change,"we can't go back to the failed bush policies of the past. Axel firmly believes that if you say something enough it will become true. The fact that he is leaving the adm. proves he was and is wrong.

3.Ahhhmm so poor ask Axel if "is it a failure of leadership?"--axel=---"we inherited an economy that was in the tank all Bush' fault one more time.

4.The old "we saved 2 1/2 million jobs" only he knows better than to actually say it this time and then another old worn out slogan "the other side prevents us from getting out of this rut even tough they have majorities (that have now deserted themas well) who are also deserting them but he forgets to mention that.

5. A clip of bubba saying that "we don't want to go back to the people that dug the hole" bubba goes onto say "if we don't do good you can vote us out." Axel doen't like that part.

6.Poling must show that they have a little traction on the "tax cuts for the rich" because axel is all over this one.

It's deceptive as hell since they never ever mention that it cost three trillion(over ten years which is never mentioned)to fund the 98% with little job creation and 700 billion once again over ten years to fund the other 2% with lots of jobs created.

Axel has demagogued this issue so well that the average Joe has no clue what is going on other than the rats are trying to give the middle class tax tax cut and we are in the way. Truth is the 2% will create all kinds of jobs and it doesn't have to be paid for since the job creation stimulates the economy and more tax revenue to the govt.,p> Truth is the 98% will have to be paid for(3 trillion) due to little job creation.

So, the Bush tax cuts without the two percent are a huge cost to the nation and further expand Marxism by helping to destroy the free market capitalism which is generated by the other 2% and these guys know it. But that's what they want. The destruction of a once great nation.

In other words if you are a hardcore Marxist you don't want and will do anything to stop the 2% tax cuts for the "rich" since that would help capitalism and reduce govt. debt. While the other 98% is more of a true cost for the nation and it cost three trillion which added to the rest of zeros enormous debt can go a long way to further sink the nation and redistribute wealth to the rest of the world which is what these assholes are all about.

9.Axel goes on to claim that we are holding the tax cuts hostage.

10. That our huge debt is due to tax cuts for the rich and other pap.

Interestingly Christianne asked axel about Woodward's comment that Axel is nothing but a "spin Doctor" and Axel told her it was a complement!! Talk about spinning!! That's a good one!!!

Then axel goes on to tell I'm so poor that everyone is in favor of telling the world we are pulling out of Afghanistan and when.... blah blah blah, good riddance to bad rubbage when it comes to axel.
