:)
Bob “shifty” Scheiffer...what an idiot! (or do they pay him so much that he doesn’t care what people think)
He’s wondering what is the agenda of the TEA Party and will it have more of an effect on democrats or Republicans.
MORON, the acronym TEA means “Taxed Enough Already”
What do you think their agenda is?
Not to mislead. Brit gives just a glimpse of his anger, but it’s there. There’s no explosion.
I don’t like Wallace. He’s like a weasel.
Thanks for the link.
Great post and comments: Parasite Party
Also I recommend clicking on the “who’s dressed best” link on Hillbuzz.
What a fantastic collection of our first lady’s fashion sense!
Always ignored is the hole that W got use out of after 9-11.
I got a thought been blooming in my mind all week about your comment so got to stop and comment before moving on to anecdote of liberal Mother-in-Law and her meltdown over voting on Obama. I oughta charge you guys for this it’s so amusing.
But yes, all through this campaign it was musing over O’Donnell, the folly of the silly voters, the statesmanship of Mike Castle, his devotion and service to the public.
We had pundits like Karl Rove and Charles Krauthammer, there’s two big rays of sunshine on a cloudy day, all lambasting Christine for daring to run against the darling Castle. Mighty, mighty Castle, whose only crime was being in public service for over 45 years and now the stupid peons, with tar and pitchforks, are all busy falling for a wannabe witch who has evidently cast a nasty spell across the Delaware populace.
Same with the Weekly Standard, Bill Buckley’s periodical, John Fund....the Wall Street Journal...all wringing their written hands and moaning about voters messing it all up for their complete failure to understand the issues.
Not once, not once in all the sunshiney Rove rants or the Krauthammer monotoned chastisements, not once in the Weekly Standard’s bevy of columinists all assigned to beat on the silly voters...Mary Katherine Hamm ought to be ashamed of herself...NOT ONCE....
...did one pundit or one sentence ever take just a millisecond and think....GEE I WONDER WHAT MIKE CASTLE DID THAT GOT THE VOTERS ALL UPSET LIKE THAT?
Just a moment, since we’re thinking out loud on the air or in print, since it’s what we’re doing here, since we’re offering our learned and experienced suggestions as to what went wrong here....you think just one mighty pundit/commentator could have whispered, if need be, that maybe Mike Castle pushed his base just a bit too far? That since 2004 his base has been begging him to stop voting like a Democrat, that the Delaware GOP was working overtime browbeating the party bearers into line, exhorting them to vote...JUST ONE MORE TIME...for Mike Castle...you think a so-called pundit with bright smiles like Krauthammer, with all those years of political experience....might have given this just a little mention?
Silly me.
Yeah, you’re right MN....those RINOS are a bit scared of late. Thank Delaware voters very much but go with me here, while we’re more intelligent than most states based on mine own inscientific survey and tongue in cheek, voters in any other state, given a closed primary and many years of being peed upon our feet while warned it’s just yellow rain, would have did what the Delaware primary Republicn voters finally up and did.
And now the fine, fine Republican Senators decided, with their polished nails, perfect tans, head hairs that do not move from their appointed places, refuse to remove Murkowski from her senate chair even though she flips Alaskan Republican voters the bird and announces intent to run on write in, never mind any negative impact on the candidate choses by the VOTERS!
See...they say GET RID OF THE BUMS!
Damn, you can’t get rid of the bums....they’re like roaches, you step on them, they stop for a moment, then antennae move and they’re scurrying around anew to do their damage.
Greetings, All...and Happy Sunday! So if we win back the House, does the Speaker automatically become Boehner? Can’t they have a vote and choose Pence or someone else?
From everything I see here in liberal land. The dems will NOT be voting.
And we know very well the tea partiers are energized and WILL be voting.
Only last week O was begging his base to get the folks energized. Even he knows it’s a lost cause.
Tea Party candidates are not all good, such as Dan Maes for governor here in CO, but by and large these grass roots efforts are making a huge difference in energizing the public. Ken Buck beat the GOP party choice of Jane Norton and others have done well, such as Cory Gardner and Ryan Frazer.
Colorado was turned purple to blue over the past six years but it should be moving back to red this year.
Last week a Delaware caller to a Baltimore radio station said that when he went to an RNC ‘headquarters’ to get some signs and bumper stickers, after the Primary was over, they still had all the Mike Castle posters and propaganda prominently displayed. He challenged the folks in the office about this, and they gave him a hard time.
I don’t remember if he mentioned the town where this office was located. Have you heard anything about this?
And actually we understand the main issue perfectly...we're sick to death of the RINOs, blue-blood country-clubbers and "neocons" obliterating, misrepresenting and thwarting the GOP's conservative nature, and we're taking the party back.
Of course they don't like that position one little bit.
I took about 2 seconds to determine it was useless to watch, so I never noticed, they probably have the collection plate out to help desecrate the sight where more than a hundred thousand American civilians were attacked and massacred...
Gregory and Democrats will ALWAYS be rude to ALL conservatives... if Pence had command of the facts, he was unable to voice to them in the time allowed... maybe he should stick to C-SPAN where there’s time to compose your thoughts.
The Republicans who will be in the next House will meet in December to nominate the GOP candidate for Speaker, and elect the GOP leadership. When the new House meets in January, it will choose between the GOP and Dem candidates for Speaker. There is nothing automatic about these votes, but campaigns for the leadership positions, if any, won’t be made public until after the general election. Boehner is definitely the going away favorite right now.
The days of the msm framing the debate and ‘educating’ the voters has come and gone.
And that includes the WSJ.
Sal Russo, strategist for Tea Party Express on Face The Nation.
Bob asks Sal if supporting Christine O’Donnell was a good choice. Sal responds that the Tea party has been a big boon to fiscal conservatives. Secondarily they look for people who are independent thinkers .... that are willing to stand up and say, look, the emperor has no clothes.
Bob just gave thirty minutes of free air time to some great Tea Party talking points and great candidates. Thanks, Bob!!!!
Ken Buck was excellent against Schieffer this morning. He batted back every challenge with ease and grace.
Good point and it is mentioned in this excellent summary:
