I mean, it’d been stated that He WILL return. Best to have their ducks in a row.Given that the UN has devolved mainly into a bastion of Socialist thugs I doubt that the Son of God will be much interested in talking to them other than to warn them of their evil ways. My guess would be that the Son of God wouldn't need any appointed 'contact person' because He will convey His message to us all, simultaneously and via a means of His choosing.
