Romney brought Massachusetts Deval Patrick.
Romney brought Obama in 2008.
Romney is insuring Deval Patrick in 2010 by pushing his RomneyBOT Baker.
Romney will bring Obama in 2012.

"Let's con them all!"

No I agree. No more Rudy but I think he is a lot better than Myth Romney, McCain, Newt or Huckerbee.

Well they all stink really - even Rudy. He probably stinks the least.

Romney praises Obama again
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney praised President Obama
at a GOP fundraising dinner Wednesday ..
"I also think it's important for us to nod to the president when he's right," Romney said....
Romney, who spoke at a dinner for the National Republican Senatorial Committee,
said he's pleased with the president's plans to "finish the job" in Iraq and Afghanistan
-- lines that drew applause from the partisan audience. He also applauded the president
for standing up to the auto industry.
"I hope he continues to be tough ....The former businessman even offered faint praise for
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, saying that after a series of initial missteps,
"I think he's finally getting close to the right answer."

It’s way too early for this exercise, but you can start to see the standard factions in the grouping. Romney appears to be in the lead right now because he’s drawing from 3 of the 4 basic groups - establishment conservatives, RINOs, and fiscal conservatives. You can see his non-RINO support starting to bleed out - establishment conservatives already moving to Newt or Pawlenty, and fiscal conservatives just beginning to migrate to Barbour or Daniels. Huckabee and Palin are splitting the plurarity (but not majority) social conservative group.

At least this set is better than 2008’s, where the various groups’ preferred candidate were all essentially RINOs on the other groups’ issues (except Fred and some minor candidates).

If I had to guess at this point, I think we’re most likely to see Barbour get the nod. He seems the most acceptable to the non-RINO factions within the party. Barbour will probably go with another governor for veep - most likely Daniels or Palin (probably whichever of those two drops out first and endorses him).

I'm gonna guess that DeMint, Pence, Arpaio, Hunter, Bolton, and Barbour were not on the list of RINOs

Pissy, the only list those guys will be on is the long list of GOPers endorsing Palin for POTUS in 2012.

Everybody loves to back a winner.

Where are these registered voters? Are the Republicans?

The very thought of Romney (I can hardly stomach typing the name) in first place is beyond belief.

Still, this Romney has the potential to do what no one else has done — formally shut down the GOP.

Another thing: a lot of the poor simply won’t vote for a rich man like Romney. Now if he was a rich Democrat they would.

Major Romney 2012 speed bump:

Willard will have to explain why he's the best candidate to keep all you non-Massholes from having to file the federal version of the above every April 15th! He'll try to explain, but if you don't have Harvard DBA, you will lose patience.

“YOU vote for Romney, I won’t.”

If he is the nominee then (gag) I will vote for him. We have seen what the alternative is and I would rather vote for Chavez.

We just have to make sure he isn’t the nominee.

NO. If Romney is the GOP's nominee, it is not worth
voting for the GOP.

At least with Obama, one knows what one has.

“At least with Obama, one knows what one has.”

Saw that with McCain in 2008. Remember the “I wouldn’t vote for that RINO” comment here? Well, many didn’t and back then we knew what we were going to get.

And we got it. And if the choice is Romney, Obama or stay home, I am not staying home. If we make sure there are enough Tea Party congressional representatives we will control the agenda.

RomneyCare=Willard DOA. Period. Paragraph.

I don’t care how many fishwrap polls they come up with showing Romney as the unanimous choice. Palin will clean his clock. Any honest analyst can see that.
