CROWN POINT One man is dead and another seriously injured after a boating accident on Lake Champlain near Crown Point Thursday afternoon.
Officials said one man died of injuries sustained when he was thrown from a bass fishing boat, which then ran over him.
That headline is so anthropomorphic, I am stunned that an SUV was not involved...
It’s called a “Kill Switch” for more than one reason.
Ignorant People don’t kill people, boats kill people, all boats should be outlawed, starting with Kerry’s new yacht. /s/
A hull to the head...
Reads like the steering cable broke and without a kill switch tether, it circled back on them.
I once went to a boat canvas place with a boss many years ago. He need new canvas on his boat. The owner of the canvas place said Al Key Hol was a his best customer. He said boats and booze are a bad combination. The worst boat accidents where people get killed almost always involve booze.
As a little girl, I was riding in a boat-pulling a skier that my brother was kneeling on the seat driving and that steering cable broke. My brother got thrown out in a perfect dive and the boat started circling. Skier dropped off and I (being little and not knowing any better) tried to stop the boat by pushing the wrong way on the gas lever-cirling faster then. But finally thought to turn off the key. Luckily my brother surfaced unhurt. Sorry this accident turned out differently.
