Never mind - there are literally hundreds of points of differences that show Mormons don't have the Jesus that Christians have. There are folks on this forum who can point them out much better than I can.
I do not need Joseph Smith's approval to get into Heaven - Mormons do.
Smith claimed to be better than Jesus.
Here in Dallas, there is a local Baptist Church that runs commercials about some guy that used to drink fight and have relations. Then he found that church, and now he is filled with the spirit. Absolutely nothing in the commercial mentions the Bible or scripture.
Nor do I need Joe Smith's approval but you have succumb to comparing religions, which was not the issue.
The issue is does all you have learned about Mormons justify not tolerating or respecting their beliefs. If you think it does how do you rationalize tolerating and respecting the beliefs of Muslims and Jews.
How are you able to rationalize your behavior?

Neither Muslims nor Jews claim to be Christian, Mormons do.
And by the way, I do not rationalize anything about Muslims.
I assume you have provided a representation of how you feel about people who practice a religion different than yours. May I also assume you feel you are doing the Christian thing?
Assume anything you like. I try my best to live my life the way Jesus wants me to.
I think they should add some additional everyday mormons that they seem to have missed:
The mormon male who believes he is a “god in embryo” and will someday be a full fledged god with his own planet and a goddess wife to breed with to create spirit children to populate his own planet ... “and I’m a mormon!”
The single mormon females, unsealed to a husband on earth, who will someday be up for grabs in the celestial harems to be bred and pregnant eternally .... “and I’m a mormon!”
The mormon elder who teaches new mormon missionaries to “lie for the Lord” ... “and I’m a mormon!”
For some reason, they avoided these three actual realities of mormonism. Strange?

And do you know that mormons believe that Jesus was a created creature who got a body and became a mormon god? Christians believe Jesus Christ is eternally God, neither created nor made.

Mormon Jesus is a different creature than the Biblical Jesus Christ. Inoculating people against truth is worse.

Yes, it is crazy!
My little step mom - age 86 - went to a Baptist Church last weekend and the ladies in the Sunday School started bashing Mormons. My little mom spoke up saying they were wrong in what they were saying and that Mormons believe in the Bible and that Jesus Christ is the Savior. This constant bashing of Mormons by ignorant puffed-up Christians is really silly.

Read the LDS Articles of Faith which I cannot post here because the anti Mormons will blaspheme, desecrate, trash and ridicule them. However, this is what we believe. You can do a google search if you are interested in the Truth which it appears you are not.
